    Dattebayo stops subbing Naruto

You are being scrooge like. They are not obligated to sub anything, whether you expect them to or not. They are even treading a legal minefield in doing so.

AnimeCentral; a new anime TV channel coming to the UK?

Headmasters Transformers is only 35 episodes though isn't it? I know the dub is quite silly and ropey, but it's not so bad that it's unwatchable. It's sort of an old-school starry-eyed thing that for me is quite enjoyable, seeing as i've never watched a Transformers series before, it was all...

    Fist of the North Star

SCI-FI showed it a couple of years ago too. The first 30 episodes I think.

    Missed first episodes

You will if you record it. It's just finding the time to watch each one before you build up episodes. I used to do it daily when SCI-FI aired Excel Saga, Gasaraki, Eva, Bubblegum Crises, Nadesico etc. But I agree it would probably be more accessible for a two episode a week format or something.

AnimeCentral; a new anime TV channel coming to the UK?

Just tuned in today and I'm getting the channel! We cancelled our Sky subscription about 2 and a half years ago, but still have the box and card for freeview. The channel wasn't showing a few days ago and now is. Is this part of the test and will it resume back to paid subscribers on the...

AnimeCentral; a new anime TV channel coming to the UK?

You don't have to stay up late to watch it, just record it. When anime was on at 4-5 am on SCI-FI everynight, I'd set the recorder all the time to watch the likes of Gasaraki, Excel Saga, Evangelion, Nadesico, BC, BCT 2040 etc. Plus as someone said earlier, they may show a few hours of new...

Full Metal Panic Second Raid and Fumoffu question

Might as well offer up my thoughts on the FMP animes. I'd give FMP 1/5 - it' has some rare good moments but overall a poor series. Fumoffu 3/5 - can be hilarious at times and fun to watch. TSR 2/5 - again the odd good bits especially episode 4 but still leaning twards the average. I...

Tales from Earthsea opens in UK cinemas on 3rd August

Why does Cradiff always get overlooked?

Manga Ent. to release Bleach on UK DVD; starting late 2007

The dub makes up for it, it's very good with some established live action actors doing some voices.

    Heat Guy J

Totally agree. Gets off to a great start and towards the middle section there are some fillerish episodes but it quickly gets up to speed again. It's one of my favourite series. I think its more than fun solid light entertainment. As CG says it does have deep moments, the characterisation...

    List the anime youve watched!

I don't mean to be a spoilsport, but this is a silly thread. What is there to gain by listing all the anime's you've ever seen. My list is bigger than yours? My tatses are? It serves little purpose.

New article: The UK's most underrated anime

Gasaraki's another one, hardly no one seems to have seen it even though it was on tv a few years ago.

    Worst voices in Anime...

Johnny Yong Bosch did a great job for the Vash dub. He also managed to combine serious emotion with the comedy, he has one of th ebest dub voices around. Plus I also enjoyed Tiffany Grant's Asuka, for me it was memorable in a good way.

GAINAX producer resigns after slating otaku critics

What's also galling is that they've only reached four episodes for goodness sakes, after the first three were animated nicely. It's not like you can look back on the whole production and class the majority of it as poorly animated. It's also not impossible to adjust to something diffeernt form...

GAINAX producer resigns after slating otaku critics

One of the best insults I've ever heard  It's strange that he would resign so suddenly over somethig like this though. I suppose 2Chan is so big nowadays that any negative bile directed at them is going to generate a huge backlash. A simple apology would suffice if they are taking the...

    Underrated Anime?

Gasaraki. It's not for everyone, some may find it a snooze fest, but it has a lot of depth and requires repeat viewings to enhance it.

    excel saga finished

Funniest anime I've seen and cleverer than it first appears. In fact it's so good it's in my Top 5 anime series list. Prefer the dub though.

The interminable wait for the next volume.

I watch so little anime nowadays due to lack of time that when I've seen a few episodes of a series I'm interested in, after a long while on returning to that series it's usually been released in its entirety on dvd! For example when I saw the opening volumes of Stand Alone Complex the UK and...
