Honestly I don't even care about the dub. It would be cool if all Japanese blu rays had English subs. (and weren't very expensive =)

The ball's in Manga's court to see how quickly they can get it out in the UK following the U.S. release as imagine if it's not the same date it'll totally canabalise sales
Lutga said:Yeah, I wonder if they'll show it at the BFI's annual anime weekend again, like they did last year?

When is it on this year?
BanzaiJedi said:So at least a year before there is any real hope of a UK release (and that's being optimistic). And probably another five years after that for the fourth film. I give up.
You've got me seriously hyped for 3.33 now.Lawrence said:For me, personally, it took everything that made 2.22 fun and just swept it aside for the sake of raising the stakes or maybe as an obscene gesture towards the fans who had invested in the series til this point.
Wasn't Anno rather critical about the success of Eva, especially the way Rei was received by the public? I feel like that's the only way to explain Eva 3.33 was if it was intended as a slight towards the fans.
Pretty much, everyone on Not Nerv treated him with equal amounts of Scorn for doing what Misato gave him EXPRESS PERMISSION to do in 2, ie: Save Rei even if it meant screwing the world sideways and indifference to the point where the only option was to go with Nerv and basically finish what he started in 2Lawrence said:Well, it's not as if people are going to stop caring for Eva. I mean, just look how long it's been since the original series was released. I suppose, had I not seen the film, I might be a little more upset but having seen it, I'm sort of upset that I had seen it. For me, personally, it took everything that made 2.22 fun and just swept it aside for the sake of raising the stakes or maybe as an obscene gesture towards the fans who had invested in the series til this point.

If I remember rightly from 2013, I'm pretty sure the entirety of the plot could have been averted if someone had just explained the situation to Shinji rather than treating him like an invalid.
