Can any AUKNers help with this one?

Does anybody here own the US Bandai Anime Legends complete collection of 'Toward The Terra'? And if so, have they noticed any playback issues during teh last two episodes of disc 6? Apparently , there are some faulty sets out tehre which skip and freeze intermittently at that point. I'm just trying to work out how widespread a problem it might be.
I have it and i've had no problems with mine.

Never had to return anything to Amazon JP myself.

Suspect you received a damaged item ? Last time i did was with the Love Live! Movie where the case had some cracks. Send some photos to Amazon JP and they send a new one and i could keep the damaged one.

Ah cool, how was the customer service for you?

I've started the returns process, but I might try emailing them with pictures instead, as the item is practically unusable.

It is the same set, the last picture shows the EAN code 858604001042 and when searching with that on the Amazon site results in the set IncendiaryLemon linked to

I have the set if you want to see something specific, the one Buzz linked has most of the angles wrapped up, but it should also include a pretty booklet.

Thanks for the offer, but the pictures there are fine. Seeing as the Amazon picture is just a shot of the front cover, I just wanted a general idea of what the set looked like.

Quick question for anyone who owns a copy of Gunsmith Cats Bulletproof! on DVD.

I recently nabbed a copy advertised as second hand in 'like new' condition. On playing it, though, it appears to be faulty, freezing halfway through teh second episode before abruptly skipping forward or stopping altogether.

I'm just wondering if this might be an issue with the disc itself. My copy DID arrive reeking of cigarette smoke, and there's a tiny burr near the center f the disc. But from experience, I don't think this woulod affect playback.

If anyone has the disc in their collection, could they possibly check it? I'm thinking it might be a case of disc rot.

I have no problems with my Gunsmith Cats disc. It's a little buried away at the moment to be convenient to check, but looking at my anime spreadsheet, I've watched it 4 times between 2007 and 2013, and that's more than enough time for discs to delaminate. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't GSC a single layer disc? Those don't go bad.

You say there's a tiny burr... is that a scratch, or a pit? A perfectly pristine disc with a minor scratch might skip, but sometimes discs scuffed so much that they aren't even shiny any more play fine. It's just luck. And sometimes there's an error in manufacturing, a particle of dust gets in and the disc is useless. Have you tried watching it on a PC, as those drives have better error correction?

Thanks for the response, JPT.

On closer inspection, the mark on the disk is a scratch, which, although tiny, seems to go deep enough to affect playback. I know from experience of getting a dodgy G Gundam disc that was affected this way that no amount of buffing with my SkipDr is going to fix it, so I've arranged a refund and return. Damn shame, as I was looking forward to finally watching this one!

I did try the disc in several different decks: my brand spankin' LG DVD player, an old Toshiba, my Panasonic Blu Ray and my work computer (christened 'The Turbof*cker', trivia fans!) The fault is noticable in each one.

I can't comment on the disc type used, as the info doesn't appear to be on the box. It may wel be that the disc was damaged in transit, as the ebayer I bought it from decided to put the DVD in a plastic sleeve within the case. I've had this a couple of times, and it ALWAYS results in minor disc damage, ironically.

Does Manga UK's BD version of the Blue Exorcist Complete Collection use Aniplex's discs just like their earlier release (which was split into 2 volumes)?

The reason for asking is that I'm considering purchasing it one day, but if it's re-authored (in a bad way) for the Complete Collection, then I'll just get the 2 volumes.

I'm hoping those who order from Right Stuf regularly can help me. I'm thinking of pre-ordering Doukyusei Classmates BD but it says this:
Due to licensing and contract restrictions, this product can be sold and shipped to the US, Canada, Central America, and South America only. This product cannot be shipped to Japan
Will i still be able to have it shipped to the UK?
