The Q & A Thread (for questions that do not need a thread)

I've noticed my copy of the Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection movie (All the Anime release) has a CD with the soundtrack, however when I'm putting it onto iTunes nothing is coming up other than the 30 tracks. Anybody know what the tracks are called as googling it only seems to bring up the main soundtrack which had 34 tracks.

@Kite , maybe it's this one ? Even shows an image on that website Anime Ltd. release.

Is there any legal way to watch season 1 of Bang Dream in the UK?
Seasons 1-3 blurays are available on Amazon US. Seasons 1 & 2 are marked as Geolocked on @Denny Fisher list so I think that means they work on UK players. Not sure about S3 but its Sentai so should work fine

MyGo hasnt had a physical release but is on CR

As for streaming. S1got removed a while back

Thanks for the info. I was considering buying the Blu-rays, but I read on this forum that Sentai's Geolocked Blu-rays don't work on Panasonic players (my Blu-ray player is a Panasonic).

I was particularly looking for a way to watch season 1 because it disappeared from Hidive before I finished watching it (I have 5 episodes left to watch). I plan to watch season 2 and 3 too (both still available on Hidive for the UK), but want to finish season 1 first.

I recently finished MyGo on CR in preparation for watching Ave Mujica. I discovered it while waiting for Girls Band Cry to become available in the UK.

I’ve been enjoying Your Lie in April and Blue Box. Any other series that is similar I should be checking out?

I also have Tatami Time Machine (I think that’s what it’s called) and the night is long walk on girl as well as Orange Road in my too watch pile, but looking for other suggestions. Doesn’t have to be Shonen romance, open to all demographics.

I haven't seen Blue Box yet, but if you mean high-school-based shows about performing arts or sports with some sexual tension, I'd recommend Chihayafuru, Dance Dance Danseur, and Sound! Euphonium.

I've been meaning to recommend Dance Dance Danseur on the simulwatch thread. I might bring that up now that the Haibane Renmei simulwatch is finishing.

I loved Sound! Euphonium. I’ve seen Chihayafuru recommended a few times in posts on the Shojo sub on Reddit, so I think I’ll give that a go. I’d be into watching DDD with you all too.

Cheers for the recs. I’d also recommend BB as it’s just a fun show and the main character doesn’t wallow too much, so it feels quite refreshing compared to some other shows.

I might need to rewatch Kids on the Slope again soon too.

I'd recommend Horimiya, My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu, Toradora, Golden Time, The Pet Girl of Sakuraso, Teasing Master Takagi San.

I've got that on my list to watch so would definitely up for simulwatching that.

Golden Time was also on my radar too. That’s more college right? Not a bad thing, everything being high school will get old 🤣
Indeed, I always enjoy and appreciate it when we get anime doing more adult characters as well, but ultimately we all want to relive our childhoods so fair enough😂. Despite having an idea from its synopsis, I utterly adored Shirobako for the curveball it threw within the first few minutes in this regard.

Does anyone have an aquaintance who lives in Australia who can help me buy a blu ray from Australian CEX and ship it to me?

Or know of a forwarding service like Stackry but an Australian one.

A question from me for once (I was going to post this in the Crunchyroll UK thread but figured here was more appropriate).

Thanks to Dragon Slayer for providing me photos of the recent July releases for the three multi-language titles (The Aristocrat's Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far, I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too & The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World), I am wondering when they had changed the artwork approach for these releases.

For a bit of background/context, when they introduced the multi-language releases they took the approach of swapping the reversible/inside artwork with a German version of the front cover used on the slipcase (on top of the high SRP). The only title that had this exception was The Girl from the Other Side because its release was for UK & France only, but the rest did.

With these three mentioned above not having this modification of the artwork (despite including the same language options as per usual), my question now is when did this take full effect? There have been a few of these releases in recent months (below is a recap) and I would like to know which ones kept the original inside artwork and which didn't:
  • Dead Mount Death Play Part 1
  • I’m the Villainess So I’m Taming the Final Boss
  • The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World
  • KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World
  • The Legendary Hero is Dead!
  • Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement
I'm bringing it up here because very few would own these shows and unboxing photos for UK anime is pretty rare on the net in all honesty.
This is a pretty old post but the topic is of interest to me too and I have a partial answer.

I'm the Villainess So I'm Taming the Final Boss has the reversible cover with the German rating and text on the inside, so doesn't have the interior art. It also has English/French/German on the back of the slipcover.

I know you got an answer on Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement, but I didn't feel the info was quite complete. As that post showed, it has the interior art. But it doesn't have any German language on the discs, so it wouldn't be distributed in Germany anyway. It's only French and English for both subtitles and dub.

Another that you didn't mention so I don't know if is in question but I will describe as a contrast to that one: Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion has interior art, so no German reversible cover, and only English and French on the back of the case and slipcover. But it has English, French, and German dubs and subtitles, and the disc labels have the FSK ratings logos on them, so the discs are identical to a German release, but if there is one it would have its own packaging I assume.

Have they completely stopped doing this? Or maybe all of the below just weren't released in France and Germany? (I don't know how to determine what they release in those countries.) I have the following newer releases, and all are English/Japanese only, with only English text on the covers, and only BBFC ratings logos, and in the standard 14mm thick cases instead of the 12mm that the joint releases came in:
  • Dr. Stone New World Season 3 Part 1
  • Dr. Stone New World Season 3 Part 2
  • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Part 1
  • Sound! Euphonium Season 1
  • Villainess Lv. 99 I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord
I prefer the packaging in the thicker cases anyway so it's fine for me.

I've picked up a few more of their multi-language releases since I made that post. Long story short, from The Legendary Hero is Dead onwards they stopped doing the reversible German cover model and have split the UK/French and German releases apart. The discs will still be identical but now it's more on-par with the US releases.

The ones that I picked up were:
  • The Aristocrat's Otherworldly Adventure: Serving Gods Who Go Too Far (released 15th July 2024)
  • I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too (released 22nd July 2024)
  • The Legendary Hero is Dead! (released 8th April 2024)
  • KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World (released 3rd June 2024)
  • My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1 (released 23rd September 2024)
  • Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement (released 24th June 2024)
  • Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke's Mansion (released 19th August 2024)
There's still a few recent titles that have multi-language support but the US have drastically reduced them a lot, so only ones that came out recently that have them were Bungo Stray Dogs Seasons 4 & 5 and Dead Mount Death Play Part 2. Classroom of the Elite Season 3 over in the US is English/Japanese only which makes me curious about how that'll turn out over here.

Coincidently at the same time, they're also increasing the number of subtitled only releases (i.e. no English dub titles).

Classroom of the Elite UK is already a mess because of Season 1 Episode 6 having no English subtitles, which I guess is not getting fixed. :(

I don't mind the sub-only releases as I never watch dubs. I know many others do but my hope is that this allows them to release shows that would otherwise not be deemed profitable enough to release, back when they insisted on dubbing everything.
