Studio Ghibli Rewatch Marathon: My Neighbors the Yamadas (Film) Another film that I’ve seen fairly recently, and it still holds up on rewatch thanks to the art style and more down-to-Earth vibes. 3.5/5
Studio Ghibli Rewatch Marathon: Spirited Away (Film) This often tops the list for best Ghibli film and it certainly isn’t far off for me. It’s a shame though that the film, to date, has been the only Ghibli film to win the Best Animated Feature Oscar, let alone the only anime film full-stop. 4.5/5

Porco Rosso (REWATCH) (Disney English dubbed) - Yep still love this... I wish I had more interesting things to say about what I watch sometimes but it's really great lol XP 
Moomin (1990) (English dubbed) Episodes 27-45 - This show is sooo relaxing and cute yet slyly witty (without being meanspirited) and with a spirit of adventure, and the English dub is just SO GOOD OMG. Am determined to finally finish this this time (also will def finish Hunter X Hunter 2011 this year)
Jem and the Holograms Episodes 1-7 - Fun cheesy 80s cartoon that's a bit like a western shoujo series (it was actually animated mostly by Toei), I plan to finish this as it's endearing and a nice comfort food kind of show but it will be a little while before I watch the rest
Noir (REWATCH) (English subbed) - TBF the dub for this is actually really good but it's a better experience in Japanese given the huge amount of effort put into the sound direction, that kind of stuff is hard to emulate completely in a dubbed version. So yes, great show hence why I'm rewatching it, I think I'm on Episode 3 atm

Porco is a big favorite of mine for Ghibli, great story!
And Noir, well, what can I say - My #1 favorite anime of all time, perhaps sometimes tied with Phantom, Requiem for the Phantom - I would flip-flop my ranking of those two series between my #1 and #2 positions depending on my mood at the time, or I'd just designate them as two #1 positions, lol. Kirika and Ein were similar-looking MC characters in the two series, and I had a crush on both, lol.
And I so love that Noir soundtrack from Yuki Kajiura; Salva Nos and Canta Per Me I never grew tired of hearing in every episode, they are so good they never got old. I have a couple of full-sized Noir metal lunchboxes I purchased on clearance for $4 each from Rightstuf years ago; I had planned to use one of them to make a music box that played that infamous music box tune "Melodie" when you opened it, but I just haven't gotten around to it, yet...
Well anyway, Noir was my #1 anime until Violet Evergarden came out, then that definitely took my #1 ranking.

Studio Ghibli Rewatch Marathon: Howl’s Moving Castle (Film) Upon rewatch, I’ve found that I once again appreciated the concepts and imagery, but didn’t quite engage with the characters. This is still an interesting film, though, despite my issues with it. 3.5/5
Studio Ghibli Rewatch Marathon: Tales from Earthsea (Film) This is a film I’ve gone back and forth on in terms of my overall opinion. It’s a flawed fantasy outing but does have its moments, and I can still appreciate what the story has to offer. 3/5

hi, been enjoying reading these Ghibli rewatch reactions. at first I was all like "they gave that film that score?!?" but after a while I realised that I haven't watched these films in at least a decade and my views would have no doubt changed too. how long do you think it's been on average before these rewatches for you?

Some Ghibli films I’ve seen more recently, whilst others I don’t think I’ve watched since around 2018 or earlier, so I’ve enjoyed revisiting their filmography. Ultimately, my scores are just that, mine - others will no doubt have their own favourites and scores for these acclaimed films, and my views and favourites might well change the next time around.

Because, in the review, I got fixated on the final episode, which was living rent free in my head, I figured that I'll make a more TLDR opinion here; I like the show although, the more I think about it, I think it is standing on the shoulders of giants (the last 4 seasons) a bit, seeing more of these characters getting into whatever crazy antics they do is often entertaining (as expected when the characters are well developed in previous seasons like they were here) but unfortunately the ending was badly rushed which held this one back from being as good as it's predecessors.
