What Games Are You Playing?

Have you changed the Batmobile "switch to tank mode" controls to toggle rather than hold? This lets you use the trigger for braking rather than pressing Square. Don't know if this is the kind of problem you're having, but a lot of people seem to vastly prefer controlling the car once they're changed this.
Thanks for the suggestion, I might give that a go. I didn't even notice that option, probably at least partly because it's in "game options" rather than "controls" (particularly odd since you have to go to controls to see what effect it has). It might take a while to get used to the change of button for the Vulcan Cannon though. It might have been best if they'd just swapped the buttons for Brake and Tracker/Immobiliser around in the default configuration, I think that'd have made things easier.

To be fair, I may be making the Batmobile sound worse than it is. I've managed to complete everything relating to it (including the AR challenges I've done so far) but I vastly prefer the on-foot stuff.

I was very skeptical of the Batmobile stuff in the lead up to the game's release, but I found myself enjoying it a lot once I got into the game.

I was fighting some heavy tanks in the Batmobile last night (and in the game) and I have to say it was a lot of fun. It was basically a Predator encounter using the Batmobile, stealth in a tank. I like that they've kind of made the Batmobile representative of Batman in some ways. It's tough, terrifying, fast and kind of untouchable. I guess I'm enjoying it a bit more now, as long as I'm not under time pressure to race around or make jumps. Even the chase sequences aren't too bad since they're quite forgiving if you fall behind and ramming things is kind of fun.

Of course, I might not be so positive if I spend an hour on a 3 minute race again. Sometimes, being a completionist is frustrating.

Also, I've noticed that the side swipe/dodge move is actually quite useful when driving around. I wish I'd thought of that sooner, would have made a difference in some of those races.

(and in the game)
Very good, lol.

I really need to get back to this game, a combination of Heavensward and many hours of overtime this past week or so has meant very little progress for me.

I'll be disappointed if the song "he drives us bats" from Batman: The Brave and The Bold doesn't play over the end credits of Batman: Arkham Knight. It would be outrageous.

Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story

Fast turning into one of my favourite gaming series. Shakes it up by having Bowser as a playable character in the overworld while you explore his insides. Combat is great especially with his moves and the ability to inhale enemies for Mario and Luigi to fight.

Looks and sounds great. I'm actually sad that they went with 3d models for the 3DS title, but I'm sure it'll be just as good when I get round to it.

Bowser's Inside Story is the best in the series. Incredible game which made me laugh so many times. One of Yoko Shimomura's finest soundtracks too.

So my PS4 has decided to start constantly ejecting discs, or in the case of no disc, try and eject one anyway. It keeps beeping 3 times, turning itself on and now it just sat there rapidly beeping (maybe 6 or 7 times), but the power light wasn't even on...think it's maybe about time I contacted Sony about my possessed console.

So in the mean time I've decided to dust off my Vita and try push towards platinuming Persona 4 Golden, mainly due to the mention of who best girl was in another topic making me wanna play it again. (Just for the record, it's Chie btw).

Still playing DotA 2 now and again because, as we already know, I hate myself apparently.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (PlayStation 3)
This game was part of my childhood so it was obvious that I had to buy the HD ReMIX edition. Just now I have finished the main story on Proud Mode difficulty with 91% of the Journal done, Ultima Weapon acquired and currently at Level 89. There are some bits I haven't covered yet with a couple that were new additions from Final Mix:
- Cavern of Remembrance Organisation XIII Data Bosses
- The Lingering Will Secret Boss
- Mushroom XIII with the targets acquired
- Mini-games

There's also the secret ending which I haven't acquired because I need to finish the Journal. 48 hours in and there's still more to do!

Replaying Borderlands 2 with the Brother and the Boy. God bless you up to 4 player mode on The Handsome Collection! Once I get passed the Ice levels, I still really enjoy the game. Can't see me getting bored of it.

I was slightly disappointed with the Batman: Arkham Knight end credits (although they were actually quite good).

The ending was okay, although I think it maybe works better if you've seen other Batman stories. The events leading up to the ending were great though, there were some really nice "Batman" moments throughout the game but more so in the later stages, I think. I guess the fact I'd constantly wander off to do sidequests could have affected the pacing and story a bit but I think it was generally okay (they did put in more plausible reasons to hold off on the main quest from time to time).

It'll be interesting to see if there's post-game dlc and what it would be like. The season pass is kind of expensive so I hope that means there'll be some meaty content to come.

It might be cool to see a 60's Batman based Arkham game, I'm not sure it'd work as a full game but it could be fun dlc. Maybe that'd just annoy a lot of people though, mostly I just want to see what the combat would be like with all the effects and that classic music.

I guess I was okay with the Batmobile by the end of the game. I think part of the problem is that it's involved in a few boss fights that aren't much fun (one is very near the start) but there are a couple of decent ones later on. One main story battle that didn't quite work properly for me but would probably have been okay otherwise and one sidequest that was quite neat (though that might have partly been the way I played it too). I almost enjoyed one of the races in the Batmobile towards the end too, although it had a weird issue right at the end of the course that constantly threw me off (literally) and seemed to be down to bad luck. I think the Batmobile is generally fine when you're not following a course or otherwise restricted by some gimmick, some of the puzzles, sidequests and battles work quite well.

At the end of the day, I'm not sure if Arkham Knight quite matches up to Arkham City. I don't think it has anything to match the Fries segment gameplay wise, although story wise it may be a bit closer. That said, I think the Arkham City ending is a bit better (though would be tough to beat, to be fair). Still, it's a great game and I think it has earned it's place next to the other Arkham games. I guess it might even be more accurate to say that it's just a bit different to Arkham City (though not too different), since some people may prefer Arkham Knight (especially if they really enjoy all of the Batmobile stuff).

I think the most interesting thing will be to see what happens next. I'd imagine they won't want to lose a successful franchise but I think the games will really have to change going forward if they want to compete and I have no idea what they'd have to change into.

What character do you play? My problem with Borderlands and similar games is I tend to end up wanting to play another character but don't want to have to go through the levelling process again (at least getting a headstart wouldn't hurt).

Luigis Mansion 2 - A different feel to it than that of the original, but still charming and evokes the same atmosphere at time. The mission set up is the big difference.

Bowsers Inside Story - About 2/3 of the way through the game I believe, a true delight!

I bought Trivial Pursuit only because it's bundled free with a copy of Burnout Paradise, but it seems I'll be playing it quite a lot as my mum has taken an interest in it and we seem to be playing at least one game each day.

Aside from that though, I've spent the last two months playing through Final Fantasy VIII (again) which is always great fun. I actually finished it this time which is nice, every previous time I've played it ever since the PS1 days I've always gotten distracted by something else before I reached disc 4

I also blitzed through CoD Ghosts single player (don't really care for the multiplayer) and am now getting started on Dead Space 2. Basically, I'm trying to clear my backlog of wanted and unfinished games on 360/PS3 before getting an Xbone/PS4 later around xmas.

Oh, and still going on Ace Combat Infinity. What's it been now, 13 months? Game gets it's tenth update this week, from the trailer it looks like Godzilla will be making a cameo

Smeelia, thankfully i'm not like that with characters but my Brother is! So I've done the odd play of other characters too hehe.

I went back to Maya second time round. Love her skill too much.

For the pre-sequel I was Athena, I think I may pick her again although I think Hammerlocks sister is like a downloadable character you get with the Handsome Collection so depening on her skill, I may go for her.

We're already on Chapter 14. Thankfully there's lot of DLC's for after :)

My Brother wasn't a fan of Borderlands 1, I think cause of the characters and their skill as he isn't even arsed about downloading the DLC for it whereas I wanted too since I love the franchise in general.

Lady Hammerlock's skill is quite fun to use especially if you are playing multiplayer. I went with Gaige and Athena for the Handsome collection, and Maya and Nisha for the PS3 version. But I have had a playaround with all the other characters as well.

Started playing Valkyria Chronicles today. I bought it in the last Steam sale but I hadn't gotten around to actually playing it until now. I only played the Prologue and the first 2 chapters but it seems fun so far. It kind of reminds me of Fire Emblem only with Real Time elements. Also, one of the characters is voiced by Laura Bailey which I didn't know and that's always a plus in my book.

I might try Lady Hammerlock them. Nisha's special get so powerful, it's not even funny lol. Saying that I'm poo at shooting so maybe not the best for me lol. I found Athena's special took a long time to get powerful. I didn't really use it too much at first. Bit tempted to play the Doppelganger so I can look like Jack and fancy myself lol. Duno what his special is though.

My Brothers playing Gaige atm, she's fun :)
My BF is playing Krieg. I like him but I'm poo at close combat. Even in Diablo 3 I stay as Demon Hunter so I can shoot from afar and stuff lol.
