What Games Are You Playing?

Just finished MGS3, for the first time I've gone through escaping with Eva without tranquing her or CQC'ing her into the floor and dragging her. Next stop I'll be watching a longplay of Portable ops that I downloaded about a year ago but never got around to watching (okay I'm probably skip through most of the running around)

Also gave Mass Effect multiplayer a go, found it actually rather enjoyable, maybe because it's party of four vs wave of enemies and not plain deathmatch which I suck at. I was in a real bad mood on the day I played the single player so I'll give it another shot and actually complete the second scenario instead of turning the machine off.

Wait, you can do that!? I'd have done that if I'd known, I hate that section, I always end up having to kill everyone... I knew you could tranq her but what happens when you get to the areas where you need to give her a boost to get to the next one?

well planting her face into the floor saves you a tranq dart ;) and it also means she doesn't talk in her sleep.

But in either scenario you can just keep tapping snake's combo near her and the kick will knock away the Z/*'s respectively. You still have to kill everyone though.

FFFFFFFFFFF I thought that would be an easier way lol. Drag her sorry ass then lie flat when people are around, since she will insist on standing and walking rather than crawling when you crawl...

In all fairness I've never tried just lying down, figured the enemy would scout well enough to spot me hiding, something to consider for my next playthrough several months from now.

Well YOU can lie down and she will too, but god help you if you try crawling...

Generally they will never spot YOU they will spot her stupid ass whining about how hungry she is...

SCREW THIS! ****ING MUTHA****ING SCREW THIS STUPID ****TY **** OF A GAME ****ING METAL GEAR 2 SWAMP FOR ****'S SAKE I'VE BEEN AT THIS FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE HOURS EVEN WITH A GODDAMN MOTHER****ING GUIDE AND i KEEP ****ING SINKING AND BEING UNABLE TO GET BACK ON LAND FOR NO GOOD MOTHER****ING REASON JESUS ****ING CHRIST!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!

edit: Ok, I've calmed down now. It's just so annoying how you immediately become waist-deep in swamp if you stray off path for one second and then you can end up walking over the safe area and back into the friggin swamp. UGH. Well I've finished with the swamp for good now, but I doubt I'll be replaying this game for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time once I've beaten it...

editeditlol: Now that I am fully purged of swamprage I have to say that for a game of this generation, it's actually really good, even the story is pretty decent, I don't really think a remake is needed though considering just about all the best parts have been incorporated into the Solid series at some point. The only real issue I have beyond the swamp debacle is the difficulty in hiding, if enemies are onscreen, you can't hide full stop, even if they're behind a wall, looking completely the other way or whatever, they won't find you, but your alert meter won't go down either... Other than that there's a lot of very modern stuff in here and the bosses are pretty cool too so far. I'm not sure I'd play it often when I'm done, but I'd certainly consider a replay in a year or two and I'm glad it was included in the HD collection.

Brief Metal Gear 1 comments: Good for its time but not very fun to play and lots of first game teething issues, not least of which being no indication if you've been to an area before or not. Again, glad I played it, but unlike MG2 this one is only really good for heritage reasons, it's not especially fun to actually play compared with future entries.

I played them both on the Subsistence disc and I used an action replay for infinite health, still needed help for that swamp though as well as a few other parts. Also there wasn't much story back then (which I consider a good thing)

Twin Snakes beaten, had a lot more fun with the bosses this time, not sure why and even though the fist fights are easy as piss, I somehow find them incredibly entertaining lol.

Anyway, will probably take a minor break before playing the last in the series I own: MGS2 HD.

Just beat FFXIII-2. In regards to the ending, I can see why people are angry. Personally though, I liked it and the direction it took. I had the thought about what Caius had said whilst the ending was playing, and I honestly though they were going to leave it unresolved. Whether it gets resolved in dlc or FFXIII-3 I'll most certainly play it. And I was still using my Behemoth and Gremlin all the way to the end. Although now I have a choice for a new COM out of Proto-Behemoth, Gold Chocobo or Twilight Odin. Seriously stumped for choice here... And I might grab the dlc for a certain new RAV...

Not sure whether I want to go for the platinum now, which thankfully doesn't look like half as much of a grind as FFXIII's, or start up Binary Domain...

A few people I've spoken to have taken 65-75 hours for Platinum on XIII-2. The last couple of fragments are a bit of a *****. What was your final playtime on XIII?

Blazblue CSEX on Vita... and it of course looks amazing on the screen. You can pick out all the little animations on the characters. Game runs great, and since it was only £20 from Zavvi I'm glad I picked it up!

86 hours 34 minutes. Which actually surprises me, I could have sworn I hit triple digits! My current FFXIII-2 time stands at 39 hours 48 minutes with 126/160 fragments. I'm...Really unsure of what I should be aiming for first. I was thinking fragments but then I realised that the casino ones will be a part of that and I wanted to leave those till last...Those are the grinding ones that are scaring me!

Might aim for finishing off the beasitary...Should raise my Gil a fair amount. Gonna have to do something in the way of grinding anyway...
