What Games Are You Playing?

Haha, Light is pretty OP from what I hear, so you might want to hold off until post-game.

There are DLC outfits for Serah and Noel on the Japanese store, I'm surprised they didn't put them on the EU one when they released Light.

Yeah I think it'd weird me out having her in the party too, so I'll probs just wait till end of the game~

Don't get me wrong though, I do like Serah and Noels outfits, I just think Noels maybe could have been a touch better~

Agreed on all points. With the preorder outfits I do like Serah's one, but Noel's feels just a bit too much. Speaking of preorder stuff and dlc...Omega is one tough nut to crack. I can survive, but he has so much hp that the fight will take about half an hour currently...

I must admit to still having a maxed out Gremlin as my Ravager (Hey 480 odd magic is not bad...Only knowing Ice is though.) and am actively looking for a new one, so I would welcome any suggestions. I have a few monsters but none of them look that outstanding. I have seen a potential COM replacement though on Archylte...Similar to the one I mentioned before.

On Chapter 4 now - Academia was a good concept...But all. Those. Random. Battles. Which. Are. Pointlessly. Easy. Every. Few. Bloody. Steps, got right on my nerves. I love the concept and the idea behind it but it began to really feel like a slog. I'm also having issue with the quest you can receive there, as my map for New Bodum only ever goes to 98% despite being totally filled in...

Gotta admit, I'm interested in seeing how well the Assassin's Creed outfit comes out...Any decent others available that we don't have?

You may be doing alright there, a friend of mine used the same one for a lot of the game I think. Personally I used Zwerg Scandroid a bit, and Nekton once I had it levelled up some, up to and a long way past the stage where you are.

You can always v.quickly level some ****** other Rav up and infuse your current one with it to learn Fire etc.

I finished Hyperdimension Neptunia last night and started on Catherine. I think I'm about third of the way through. The game itself hasn't been too hard so far, but getting gold ranks has been a bit of a pain.

Cool, I wanna play Catherine, it seems like an interesting concept (I'm glad that the 360 artwork is considerably less pervy :p I'll feel less embarassed if I eventually own a copy)

I retract my earlier statement regarding the difficulty of the game.
The fourth stage sent me running for Easy mode.

The cover art's reversible (at least on the PS3 version) with the BBFC logo thankfully missing from the internal cover. It's a shame that the cover without the logo is the one featuring Katherine.

Beat Peace Walker. What a fist-pumping dose of epicosity that last boss was. I've still got the post-game to beat but I feel like I'll leave that out of my series playthrough for now, since I'm not too fussed about doing extra ops right now, plus it'll leave me something to do when I don't have anything else goin' on.

I am about to start Mass Effect 2, but I do not know what to do about ME3. I do not want to give EA full price for an RPG that they have turned into a shooter and will be selling on Origin but not Steam, but I feel like I will want to know the end of the story once I have played 2 and the relevant DLC.

Mass Effect 3 has more RPG elements than Mass Effect 2 had. Weapon customization is finally back in, there's more options for skill upgrades than ME2 had, more romance options (which I like, helps me make each character different.), better character creator, etc....

Pretty sure there's a section on the RPG elements here somewhere: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic ... /7649262/1

On the topic of ME3: I'm currently going through multiplayer demo on ps3. Getting ME3 on xbox but my Battlefield is on PS3 and mp doesnt go public til friday. Anyways its more fun than I thought it would be.

Ahaha, maybe I should have read this thread before posting in the general gaming one, as that's about the most positive comment I've read on the game so far (which, given that I have not played ME2 yet precisely because it sounded like a bag of catpoo to me after ME1 being maybe my favorite game of this generation, maybe makes it not "as" positive).

I do not expect it to take long to drop in price, anyway, but I still might not buy it in the forseeable future until EA changes their attitude towards Steam - or at least admits that they keep their games off there purely to try to harm what they see as a rival business.

in terms of armor and weapon customisation, yeah, there is certainly more RPG elements. My issue with when i played the demo at the weekend(early access) was that, it looks really nice, the combat does feel more fixed up than in ME2 and it does look really nice graphically, but it felt a little too cinematic. I had nearly no options available with dialogue, never once within the demo did i get a third option on the dialogue ring, which annoyed me. It was either paragon-like or renegade-like. Now i'm hoping that, because it was just the demo, they will have a lot more options available with everything else later, investigate, etc. If not, then i'm sorry, but they have basically taken away one of the charms of the series. So yeah, they have a lot to prove, since i wasn't too taken with that element in the demo.

(sorry ilmae, may make you swing back again)

Most of the actual choices throughout ME1 and ME2 though don't matter.

Deciding whether to kill the Rachni Queen or let her live? Don't mean ****. Keep the collector base or destroy it? Don't mean ****.

The only thing I have any real amount of excitement for is EDI getting her own body.

The retcons to the actual story are also somewhat worrying unless it's been changed since the script leaked.

Also I'm playing ME2 right now for like the sixth time, I enjoy it a lot more than ME1 even though it's basic as ****, but ME1 is the better game anyway. Although ME1 has the Mako which is pretty **** and the inventory system is bare effort.

Don't highlight spoilers if you're on a media blackout for ME3, you'll probably cry.

I played the demo up to 25 minut mark and turned it off for the next scenario, really not sold on this and I knew I wouldn't be. I preordered through game without an account so I can't cancel and paid for the collector edition, so as soon as I get it it's going on ebay where I might make a profit or at least break even. I'll pick the game up in 6months to a years time, considerably cheaper, with all available fixes. After I've played everything else I'm more looking forward to.

Nice edit here. My fears on less dialogue options has been removed thanks to biowares twitter. It seems that with the demo, they did actually remove a lot of extra options on your dialogue choices. This helps a little, since i can at least say the rest of the game is nice, so hopefully this will help me now properly. I'm not as worried about the game anymore.

Also, another note. About to start Xenoblade chronicles which i got on my birthday, and continue with Skyward Sword now i'm back at the flat. Heres hoping i don't get too addicted to the former

I've been having fun with the ME3 character creator, great how you can make any character look evil just by making their eyes red :p

And I was able to use those red eyes to make Gilbert Shepard (Prussia Shepard!!) so i'm happy :p (I've always only played FemShep because Mark Meer's voice acting annoys me but i'll put up with it in ME3 just to have a run as my Gilbert Shepard!)

Multiplayer demo is FUN though. I was playing as a female human infiltrator, trying to unlock asari adept. I've unlocked it now but i'll have to wait until tomorrow to try it out. Knackered now.

Lol =P

Started playing Metal Gear now. It's actually pretty good for what it is, even though enemies are laughably blind (though that tends to lead to overconfidence, allowing them to spot me...)

Also begun Deus Ex HR rental. Jeez, I was not expecting this level of opposition. I thought I'd be able to handle the first few guards FPS style.... nup got owned right away. Got to the first augmented mission now though and it's pretty fun so far, though **** me the load times are long. I guess it's just that it's been a while since I've played a game with loads such as these but 40 seconds feels like a REALLY long time, especially if you keep getting killed in the same spot...
