What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Received these over the past few days, 1st pic is what I've received from the AL Christmas deals so far and in the 2nd pic I got Amagami from RS Amazon store, Nozaki-kun from MVM and Terror in Resonance from a member on uk-anime.net.

£12 in custom fees later, I finally got my two shirts from TeePublic and I'm pretty damn happy with them. Also got my copy of Sword of the Stranger.

Got this through the post earlier than I expected, as it came from Japan. I only ordered it on the 12th! This is an import of the Hollow Years single, which is quite hard to find an English copy of but is cheap as chips in Japan, where it also contains extra tracks. Although Hollow Years is a great song, it isn't the reason I bought this, my main motivation was the non-LP track, The Way It Used To Be, which I haven't heard before, the fact this CD is the only proper retail release of the You or Me demo, which is far superior to the album version, and the two live tracks, including a 13 minute version of The Killing Hang, which is one of my favourite songs. Not bad for a tenner!

Same here, the postman has sorted out my mail for the day and still no sign of the film. Granted I did order it late like with Genius Party but it dispatched at the same time as everyone else so that's no excuse. I blame the local post office for the slow pace. Isn't AL sets supposed to be first-class?

Same thing has happened to me. Post in my area is very slow around this time and my normal Postman isn't always the one delivering atm which is frustrating.
 
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time Hosoda Collection.
They've made the same mistake as Wolf Children in that the commentary is listed as being on the bonus disc, haven't checked, but I'm positive that it'll be on the same disc/s as the film and not on the bonus DVD.

To add to the above conversation I got this and SotS the day after the email, but then again according to Google I only live 70 odd miles from Chepstow which is the address on the box. It might be different with the Mystery Box from AL which will be coming from Scotland.

Well it's somewhere I guess. We know at least that the Blu-ray is the same as before (which was the biggest mistake of 2017 for Manga imo).

I don't mind the extras being on DVD, but they definitely missed an opportunity to fix the subtitle problem.
I've now checked and the commentary is on the DVD and NOT on the Blu-Ray :eek: But you can watch it in Spanish and Catalan!

Are the DVDs from the older Manga UK release (or Bandai Entertainment whatever it was)?

No, I think their biggest mistake was managing to give us an inferior release of In This Corner of the World than everyone else in the world. You know, that movie with the Animatsu logo at the start of every release outside of Japan?

I thought about that and I guess that one takes the #1 spot. GWLTT takes #2 at the very least.
 
Whereabouts would A Certain Magical/Scientific F*ck-up II and S be placed? That for me was a massive mistake on Manga's part since the sets were so mismatched with the first seasons and were cheap looking.

What's wrong with ITCOTW? I saw nothing wrong with it when I watched my LE set.

The bonus features have been conveniently dumped on a PAL DVD while they're on bluray everywhere else. There's also some extra bonus features hidden after the credits without sound on the bluray that are inaccessible without ripping the disc.
 
Are people really all that bothered about having bonus features in HD? I have the same question I had when I noticed the other day in HMV you can buy Pineapple Express in 4k. Why? Imho HD is for stuff that's visually impressive enough to warrant it. I couldn't really give a toss about seeing every pore in the director's face during an interview.
