What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Yeah it basically does look brand new tbh. There is an issue where the paper on the top and the bottom seems to have became unglued and can be peeled back about an inch, but that's easy enough to fix. I honestly think I've had things that I bought brand new turn up in worse condition so can't complain.

I've had a few of them even on new items. A little Pritt-Stick and it's fine.

On the topic of looking after LE's I received a used one from Japan that still had its cellophane wrapper on - except for the side the disks slot in which had been carefully cut away. It struck me as quite a good way to protect them and I think I may do this myself from now on. Does anyone else do this or something similar to "protect" their LE's?

Despite Leon being somewhere on my top 20 movie's list i have to admit that i'm bit shamed that i haven't seen any other Luc Besson's movies. I had Fifth Element playing one a background once but i didn't focus on it because i couldn't tolerate that screaming asshole (you know who i mean if you have watched the film)

But anyways. Now i have six of his films + a documentary and the whole thing cost me a only 10 euros.

Due to low funds (made worse by the recent payments for Clannad and a shipping charge from Rightstuf for NGNL which should have been sorted 2 months ago) I barely bought anything this month, literally anything. Due to the lack of jobs around I may not be able to buy anything for the next couple of months aside from some one-offs. On another note I won a total of £40 thanks to a couple of bingo scratch cards.

Anywho the only thing I have arriving today is the standard edition for Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson. The only way to get a physical copy was to order it at Marvelous Europe's website (which is different in the states as they were able to get a physical copy and put it on Amazon).

The standard edition is barebones.

More images here. Blog post here.

No proper reversible cover for Heroic Age :(

The lack of reversible cover for Heroic Age's S.A.V.E. was the reason why I decided to go for one of the remaining copies of the original Blu-ray set from Rightstuf (not trying to rub it in or anything, it was a good deal last year - the Blu-ray is an in-house upscale anyway).

Heroic Age is a really interesting series, one of the most underrated shows (and one of the few that don't deserve the S.A.V.E. status).

Got my Soul Eater sets through from Amazon JP today. I know a few people were interested in these so I've done a few pics.

It comes with an O-Card that has additional info on it (in Japanese)

The sets contained Digipacks rather than Amrays which was a nice surprise. As well as contents sheets with artwork.

I tested the first disk from each set and can confirm that they play on my UK PS4 and have the English Sub + English Dub trac.

Finally I wanted to see how well the sets blended in with some Funi LE's. They are very slightly larger (front to back) to accommodate the digipacks but aside from that fit in nicely.

Thanks for the photos msgeek :thumb: , i was one of those that was all wowwww on this :D

Still personally i'll probably go for the complete instead of the separate parts. Still need to check some options before i decide, but will not be for the beginning of next month.

Those Soul Eater sets look really great, how much were they?

Part 1 - £35.62 inc shipping + £14 customs @ DHL
Part 2 - £44.82 inc shipping + £16 customs @ DHL

Both from marketplace sellers. Fulfilled by Amazon. Listed as used but both turned up sealed...

That's odd. Amazon have started using Global shipping across the board for their stuff. Any VAT should have been pre-paid at checkout if they were shipped by them.

Everything I have ordered from Amazon JP marketplace that was fulfilled by Amazon in the last 6 months or so has followed the same pattern.

1) Pay. No option to pre-pay VAT.
2) Day or so later I get a txt from DHL saying I need to pay VAT along with a URL + package number. (I don't know where the option is but I therefore strongly recommend your mobile number is registered with Amazon JP.)
3) I pay the VAT. Lowest I've been hit with is about £4 so I can only assume that DHL's handling charge is way lower then RM.
4) Day or two after that a DHL courier is outside my door with the package.

Although it may say fulfilled by Amazon doesn't mean it'll be global shipping when you use a marketplace seller. Usually it will say international shipping even iif it says fulfilled by Amazon. If its sold by Amazon itself then iit will be global shipping and VAT will be pre-paid.

Big Besson fan here, he's never really been the critics' darling (certainly not any more) but his films do have a certain something besides the impressive cinematography that I've always found very appealing.

Even his regularly churned out action scripts for other directors are usually entertaining to me, and I'm not normally that into those sorts of films. It's probably that his characters seem to have a certain level of personality and charisma to them which seems somewhat lacking in a lot of Hollywood fare (something I suspect probably comes from the man himself given his rather impressive list of ex-wives).
