Is Deadman Wonderland just DVD or does it have the blu-ray discs in the artbox too?

It's DVD only although I already own the Manga Blu-Ray release...

Ah fair enough, i'll just stick with my Funi blu-ray release then. I did have the Manga release but sold it once i found out they didn't include the dub for the OVA on it even though the Funi release has it.

Birdy the Mighty: Decode part 1 & 2 - Soooooo, I bought this from eBay when drunk for reasons I'm still not sure about lol I don't know much about the show tbh but have been assured that while I won't be blown away, it's a fun enough series so I'll give it a go......probably. :p

I got this for free courtesy of SpeedySpeck (Thanks again!) and as such they're the first print run discs with the broken subs. However, for free, I thought it was worth a shot. If I like it I might buy it again with the corrected discs.

If you watch subbed that release is perfectly fine, as I understand the major problems were for dub viewers. (Although that dub is truly gut-wrenching, so I'd really recommend subbed.)

Erm no, the subbed version is bodged in several ways too, so much so that I couldnt finish watching it (sorry to be debbie downer lol)

Mistimed subs being the biggest issue (mostly too early in some of the later episodes)

You muse be incredibly fussy, because the only flaw I saw was one unimportant line of Shinra's that was missing.

Not that this matters, since I have the fixed release and can confirm the only thing ever remotely close to a problem is that the subtitles momentarily disappear when one line of text changes, but another doesn't. However, that is a limitation of the way subtitles are displayed on blu-ray, so there's not really anything Anime Ltd. can do about it.

Yeah, I'm aware. I was going to go dub because I think it should still be watchable without signs. Hopefully. As far as I know the subs are mistimed at points so it would be worse.

incredibly ufssy? Far from it, it got to a point where the subtitles in the original release were mistimed by a few seconds in the later episodes and I watched as much as I could before giving up as it became too much of a distraction.

AL sorted it with the reprint though, so all is good.

There's several chatroom sequences that probably become slightly confusing without the associated usernames (although the names aren't given in Yen Press' release of the light novel either), and some of a mute character's dialogue remains untranslated. (Most of the character's dialogue is spoken as internal monologue, but there's one or two lines that just appear as on-screen text and consequently remain untranslated. For the most part, you'll probably be fine though.

I never noticed, which is weird, as I have an annoying habit of noticing things like that and then having them drive me to distraction.

Question....

Do we put season 1 in this

Season 1 was released as a standard and collectors edition so it has it's own box to fit in (the collectors editon). Season 2 has just been released as Collectors Edition so far. In both the collectors editions the extra space is taken up by art books and art cards (Season 2 only).

Received the following four this week;

  • Honey and Clover Box #2 - amazon.com
  • Nichijou - My Ordinary Life: Collection 01 - my very first order at Madman, and i saw it was good, so Collection 02 is already underway.
  • Hellsing Ultimate: Volumes V-VIII - through an Amazon market place seller. Sticker on the back which i'll have to remove without damaging the cover ... tips welcome. On the upside this also contained Volumes I-IV so all in all this was a good deal.
  • Sankarea: Undying Love - Complete Series - through ebay seller codexp3 for 17,98$ after a tip from msgeek :thumb: :thumb: They were sold out at the seller, but now he has again nine copies available. Now just have to hunt down the regular uncensored edition.
