Fair enough.

I would show some pictures of the actual third KLK set itself, however my copy is ridiculously difficult to open. The booklet/digipack don't slide out like the previous sets (presumably as a result of the smaller box), and mine are pretty much stuck in there unless you pull the sides of the box and yank either one out. I picked up the MVM release of Log Horizon because I think it actually looks better than the Sentai version in part due to the reversible covers - that and it's a Sentai release. Sentai releases have been getting increasingly worse recently IMO, and I don't consider them worth the money for the standard import versions.
One bonus picture to show that I've truly lost my way
Wow, really? UP1's stand was always the thing I was most pleased to see in the past.Mangaranga said:Nice pickups. Surprised you managed to find US releases on sale at MCM considering there was the whole crackdown on non BBFC certificated releases a while ago.
Indeed. One might say it was right up one's alley.ilmaestro said:UP1's stand was always the thing I was most pleased to see in the past.
Aniplex almost always use the transport streams from the Japanese BDs and add the English/Audio and subtitles (JP BDs are usually ~40mbps for the video). The only time this hasn't been the case was for Kill La Kill volume 5 since they couldn't fit everything on one disc otherwise, so they compressed things ever so slightly. Still looks awesome. Japanese BD's are much higher quality than western sets for the most part (Which are usually compressed to 18-20mbps and introduce all sort of issues introduced due to bad encoding), although they can also be far from perfect too. That said, Anime Limited's release of Kill La Kill holds up very well in comparison. Thankfully they actually care about the quality of their releases, so AL's recent self authored releases tend to be ~30mbps and look great. The only real differences between the two is the audio (24bit PCM on US BD vs 16bit DTS-HD) and the UK disc 1 signs being hardsubbed.Tind said:Aniplex = Better Video/Audio
Explain please. Even if Anime Ltd used less discs I doubt they reduced the bitrate enough to see any difference between video quality. Or I am wrong ?
No! I've had this keyboard for over two years now(?) and it's here to stay! One of my friends keeps trying to peel it off when he comes over though.ayase said:Mangaranga, those are some lovely home video releases you have there, but please take the protective film off your keyboard. That's just unnecessary.
I have the same one by the way, it's a nice keyboard. I like that I can see it in the pitch black.

I couldn't believe I won it either to be fair lol I only bid because no one else had and it was only a tenner, didn't think it would sell for that. Pretty glad I got it but at the same time kinda dunno how to feel about having to import the rest lol.Jatz said:Buzzkillington said:Code Geass: Akito the Exiled - So I paid £10 for this on eBay, and now I'm going to have to spend over 10x that to get the rest from Japan (Not sure how to go about that, probably try Amazon since I can pay tax when buying), and since I'm ordering from Japan, I may have to grab the Garden of Sinners BDs while I'm at it....I didn't think this through but then I didn't expect to actually win it anyway lol but hey, I loved Code Geass so I look forward to watching this.
lol I can't believe someone on the forums won that. I was so tempted to get it, but I'm not a big Geass fan. Happy that you managed to get it, though. :thumb:
I got mine from cdjapan. I've always done it as unregistered SAL and marked as gift. As of yet i've not been hit by customs doing it this way.Buzzkillington said:I couldn't believe I won it either to be fair lol I only bid because no one else had and it was only a tenner, didn't think it would sell for that.
