UP1USA always seems to pile up some of my orders and then send them out in one big box. Not that it matters that much for me, guess regarding P&P costs this way it even slightly cheaper.

Reverse importation was the main reason if I recall. It was just not long after that they were able to re-release the other seasons (as well as Index II and Index Movie) onto Blu-ray. For those wondering about the lack of LEs for Railgun S and Index II, Funimation said that the sales for Index and Railgun were poor (even though it was DVD only and everyone was waiting for the Blu-ray version).

Just checked the discs and the first two come in at roughly 7,5 GB and slightly above 6,5 GB for the last two, so it seems these are BD25 discs. Have no idea what BD MVM has used for their edition, but i'm pretty sure that MVM episodes are smaller than Aniplex due to using other encoding settings.
Anyways for some shows i want the best quality possible.

It's fair enough I suppose. If they're charging like £40 for 4 episodes I'd want them to be the highest quality they can be.

DVD case unfortunately. Hate it (oh well, just for like 10 seconds) when FUNi uses all these different case sizes, looks really bad on the shelf Season 2 in the S.A.V.E. edition is BD size so Baka and Test complete will look out of place when they will be next to each other. And for this show i'm not hunting for the LE's on ebay.

Ah damn that is a shame, like you said it doesn't look good on the shelf. Is there a Blu-ray S.A.V.E. edition for Season 2 then? I thought they only did the S.A.V.E. editions for the show on DVD which is quite annoying as i assumed Season 2 was only released on Blu-ray in LE which is OOP.
:lol: Yeah i got the Darker than Black PE set too, not too impressed with it really but with it being the only Blu-ray set for Season 1 and limited to 5000 units it's either that or nothing

Picked this up: Space Dandy CE BD
I hate on Anime Limited a lot on here, but I actually really like this set overall. Its not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, the wraparound like many of the other Anime Limited releases is misaligned on the spine for example, but overall I really like it. The top loading aspect to it is actually really nice and I prefer it to the standard slipcases in hindsight, and although I thought that the artwork was ugly at first (dat face...) I've actually grown to like it due to the nice array of colors. And of course, it goes without saying that the Amaray is head and shoulders better than a dumb digipak, since they never seem to get them right :$
Overall, looks pretty good! Not had a look at the book, because spoilers and such but it looks really nicely put together, hefty and again, I prefer it to the Lagann book which was just ugly. See, I can be positive! Hopefully Part 2 mirrors this release and they don't add a digipak or forgo the top loader....
Got Splatoon on Thursday, a whole day before it came out, can't complain

It's the only version Funimation released for that series. Other examples (that are still available) include C Control, Fractale, Level E and Tenchi Muyo! Movies Collection.

Don't really know if this is the place to bring this up but in relation to last couple of posts does such a think as a list of all funi BD LE's (ideally including form factor - DVD Size vs BD Size) exist? I would imagine a lot of these would be on many peoples wanted list...
