What did you BUY today?

After a long absence I bought some South-Korean releases again, these five were ordered at Amazon UK;

And the below two classics were bought from an eBay seller as these are OOP. Just went with the plain editions.

Flavour of Green Tea and Rice
Regular Blu-ray with First Print Booklet

Funeral Parade of Roses
First Print Blu-ray

I decided to pick up these two very coming releases from BFI (they're out this Monday). Flavours of Green Tea and Rice is the latest Ozu release from both BFI and Criterion so the transfer should be top-notch. Meanwhile, Funeral Parade of Roses has my interest because the UK Blu-ray release is apparently the best way to go in terms of authoring - rather than a single disc like the Cinelicious Pics release was, it's now on 2 discs with the avant-garde short films on the second disc (which is only available for the first 3000 units).

Not today, but this week actually. Received yesterday from a Dutch web shop; Hae-jeok: Ba-da-ro gan san-jeok (Pirates) from Seok-hoon Lee, and Al-too-bi: Riteon too beiseu (Soar Into the Sun) from Dong-won Kim and the Of Flesh and Blood boxset containing four films from Hirokazu Koreeda directly from BFI.

And today. First two from Amazon market place sellers; Myeong-wang-song (Pluto) from Shin Su-won and Higanjima (Higanjima: Escape From Vampire Island) from Tae-gyun Kim and the newly released Gli specialisti (The Specialists) from Sergio Corbucci directly through Amazon.

And a lot of other Asian movies are underway, maybe some will arrive later this week.

I've pre ordered the marvel studios the infinity saga 4K boxset it's out on November 2 and it cost £399.99 and it exclusive to Amazon so you can't get it anywhere else.

Star Wars-The Rise Of Skywalker-it was on sale at a price I couldn't refuse even though I saw it at the theater last year.

I bought breakfast (a cheesy sausage roll, a chocolate mousse cake thingy and an iced coffee, I don't always have that extravagant a breakfast but I needed an energy/mood boost today), I also bought beads (for making necklaces) and stickers (for making cards), plus some brightly coloured 3D effect paint (yellow, green, red, purple, blue and black) from one of the chain shops that does such things for cheap in my town. I've actually had a really nice day so far and can't wait to get creating soon! :)

5 games from humble because of their Bamco publisher sale

Accel World VS. Sword Art Online Deluxe Edition
Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition
Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Deluxe Edition
Sword Art Online: Lost Song
Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment

I also purchased Persona 4 Golden Digital Deluxe Edition from humble a week ago, but forgot to mention it (also I wanted to get it as soon as in case they decided to reduce their 15% reduction for active humble choice subscribers).

Heck-I don't even eat breakfast, and when it comes to watching anime I was always a dub purist (if there is even such a thing) but I will and do watch subbed only due to the nature of where I acquire most of the anime that I watch.

Grav's venture into Asian Cinema continues again!

qngHw4Ol.jpg

It's been a while since I have done an Asian Cinema haul but this is more of a pre-order than an instant order. 88 Films have been continuing their venture into the Hong Kong cinema and Jackie Chan's Dragon Lord and The Fearless Hyena are both coming out together on 10th August. I am really enjoying his HK films and while I have yet to watch Operation Condor, I wanted to make sure I was able to get the next films just in case.

Crime Story, The Protector and Miracles (all 2019 releases) have now sold out on their first print so that just leaves us with the 2020 releases left and 88 Films basically implied these will sell better than last year. Each Jackie Chan first print has 3000 units which should give you an idea of how surprisingly popular they have done for a UK release.

I’ll very likely be picking those up from 88Films when they are available to Pre-order on their store.
