Only Kerrang...oh dear.
Also got a nice refund for a mobile phone.
I strongly advise everyone against buying a mobile from Tesco (or any other similar kit). Mine developed a problem, which obviously isn't Tesco's fault. What is their fault is their ****** policies.
Years ago when my Carphone Warehouse-bought phone broke, I took it back and arranged a repair - they gave me a stand-in phone while it was being sorted.
With Tesco, firstly I had to call a helpline to tell them my phone was broken. The woman offered me some ridiculous "tips" which couldn't have helped the problem I had, but I did them anyway to no avail.
She said they would send me "a package", which I would put my phone in and send it to them to "evaluate", then I would be able to take it back to the store for a refund/replacement when I got it back (I wanted a replacement). I was advised to send just the phone, and keep hold of the battery and SIM...and also to copy all my contacts to the SIM so I didn't lose them.
After a few days, I got the "package", which was a special delivery envelope and some bubblewrap. I sent it off the next day.
A week later (yesterday), it came back with a letter confirming there was a fault (no ****!) and I could take it back and get a replacement. I don't know why they took so long to see a fault that was obvious as soon as you turned the phone on, but I was without a phone for a whole week.
Anyway, turns out that Tesco demand the SIM back from you, even after telling you to back up your numbers. So I would be losing:
1) my number
2) all my contacts
3) all my messages
4) all my credit(!)
So I got a refund from them instead. A replacement would mean I'd have to go through the same **** if the replacement died. I'm taking my money elsewhere.
