UK Anime Blu-ray & DVD Bargains

I've never really been all that into Naruto (I liked Bleach way more and with very limited time to watch anime at that time, I stuck with that), but I could buy all of Naruto Unleashed and 4 parts of Shippuden for about £112, and that could give me a lot of viewing when I have nothing else to watch....very tempting. Fantastic deal too.

If you have Crunchyroll, they have all of Shippuden on there, if you have a subscription (or don't mind watching the ads) - it's subbed though, and Naruto's dub is pretty decent, so I'd probably say pick up the DVDs if you fancy giving it a try.

Yeah I have CR, problem is I have only seen about 20 episodes of the first series, and I'm guessing I'm going to want to see all of that before starting Shippuden. I'll have to think about it as who knows when if I'll be able to get it all that cheap again, but I kinda wanna start Gintama on CR too...so much I wanna see, so little time to catch up on them all, the struggles of coming back to anime after years of not watching.

Amazon having sale for quite a few DVD/Blu-Rays. I think it's until 2nd November. Sorry if this has been mentioned.

Blu-Ray: (The Ghibli steelbooks are the most noticeable)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_p_n ... =383379011

DVD: (Death Note and Ghost in the Shell S1/2)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_nr_p_n ... =383379011

Funny story about the Death Note offer. Computer Exchange had around 20 units before Amazon lowered the price to £16.10. Now they have 288 units. Their purchase price was £19.00 for a week, before they realised that Amazon had that sale and they lowered their purchase price to £14.00. XD

Easy way for customers to make a quick few quid, they did the same when Highschool of the Dead was reduced to £7 for the blu-ray version, they were offering £10 for the standard DVD version, so it paid you to upgrade

I was going to buy the Ghibli steelbooks but noticed on one of the reviews that someone said it only has the dub on it, anyone able to confirm/deny this? May grab Death Note too as I've never seen it and it's damn cheap.

I have Nausicaa and Howl's, and both of them have the English and Japanese audio. I would imagine that Totoro is the same. I bought Death Note, too. It is a steal for £16.10. Quality series.

I felt like telling them about it, but then I realised they were selling second hand Death Note's for £38.

Yeah it did seem rather odd that the sub wouldn't be included, gonna assume that person just didn't check the menus and changed it or something. Gonna grab Totoro, Nausicaa, Howls and Death Note...and here was me thinking Kill la Kill being delayed meant I'd save some money this week....

So Zavvi are having a sale on Manga UK boxsets, some good deals if you're a DVD buyer but the best seem to be the Naruto Shippuden Complete Seasons: http://www.zavvi.com/offers/manga-shop/box-sets.list
Naruto Shippuden - Complete Season 1 [Eps 1 - 52]
Naruto Shippuden - Complete Season 2 [Eps 53 - 100]
Naruto Shippuden - Complete Season 3 [Eps 101 - 153]
Naruto Shippuden - Complete Season 4 [Eps 154 - 192]
All £9.99 each.

but no promises complete season 5 will be release individually as opposed to only as part of a mega boxset of complete seasons 1 - 5....

I mentioned it earlier on the AnimeBlurayUK Twitter account; but Amazon UK have a fair amount of MVM Entertainment Blu-rays reduced to around £19 (Accel World, Another, Familiar of Zero, Fate/Zero etc).

That is a GREAT deal, but still refuse to pay for a DVD set. I'm determined to wait for a Blu-Ray (as futile as that may be)

I have the French version here, unfortunately no English subs or dubs. But since i'm Dutch speaking and there are NL subs, i'm a happy camper :)
