New Battle Angel Alita trailer. Film is out in December, I'll have to get on with reading the manga.
Really not sure what to make of this Alita film. Clearly, lots of money has been spent on it, I'm not particularly bothered by how Alita looks either, but something about the tone of this trailer feels a bit wrong. I want the 18-rated, violent, brain-eating, tragic epic that I know this can be, but the trailer is pitching this more in line with stuff like Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Marvel films, etc. Disappointing. The one cyborg with spikey arms looks cool though!

It'll make more money that way

The anime f Battle Angel was very violent, im expecting a similar tone. The look of Alita is a strange choice but i'll get used to it, i'm defiantly watching it either way. No if only someone would rescue and restore the original madhouse OVA's.....

Don't you mean re-released, and tokyopop most likely never lost the license.
Yeah I recently found out that they once released the prequel manga (which is the first volume in their omnibus plans) and parts of the main manga series.

Here's the thing, as long as they offer a proper translation, quality pages and don't do anything stupid (like cancelling it mid-way) then I'll willing to consider this release.

I have Tokyopop's previous volumes, and they're fine. As long as they keep up that translation quality, there shouldn't be much to worry about here.

Hopefully.

please please please don't **** up my favourite series
