Honestly can't say I noticed that at all in Burst, the most recent manga of Sonoda's I've read though that could be because I'm usually reserving my gaze for Goldie, and she has both narrow eyes and a chin for the ages. His style has certainly developed and adapted a bit to the times (as anyone's will over 30 years) but it's nothing that's personally offended my retro-tinted vision.I have similar misgivings, but I'm also a bit concerned as to whether the new anime is likely to use Sonoda's style as it is now - his female characters often seem to have taller eyes and a shorter jaw than used to be the case. It's not a huge change, but I think it makes them look younger or more loli-esque, and I do not like it.
