To be honest, I get the impression their nominations were basically anything anyone could think of in the moment, or and this may or may not be worse, them going through a release schedule and just listing ones that weren't too hated.
As much as I love Inuyashiki, and it did get my vote, it seems really out of place on that list, especially since it's not very well known.

What was the survey like last year? As I think AoT won best release, when to me while the show is amazing the release was not.
More than anything else, I'm just surprised Neo is still going tbh.
I'm still amazed that we can support more than one sort-of-terrible anime magazine in the UK these days. I bought a copy of NEO recently when I was waiting at an airport and it was full of low resolution art which really failed to show the series it was advertising off at all. It's not cheap to buy, either.
It's a shame because I'd genuinely love to have a decent magazine over here to subscribe to.

It is crazy how NEO and Tokyotoys hasn't died yet. They are probably a front for deeds even more nefarious than bootleg anime toys, if that's even possible.
I remember having bought a couple issues of NEO and stashing them with my porn, that was my level of shame over them. It wasn't because I enjoyed that picture of Gemma Cox.
