This sort of thing is always sad.

I really liked her as Yoshinoya-sensei in Hidamari Sketch and she'd done quite a lot of other good stuff too.

I'm really angry at this... really angry and really ******* sad.

Your telling me good people are dying of illnesses and wars and such.

While the wicked are alive and kicking hurting others...... life is ******* cruel

Sorry for the language but this is just sad.. I mean really really sad

So it has been confirmed Bones are doing My Hero Academia. It's a good fit, but when I first saw it the key art looked a little weird, although looking again Deku looks normal and All Might looks weird so I'm guessing that's their interpretation of the "he's drawn in a completely different style" joke. The reaction elsewhere seems mixed, people are pleased it's Bones and not the previously rumoured Lerche. People are now concerned that Bones will give it tonnes of filler and then an original ending.

That seems a little weird to me on several fronts, since Lerche's work this year has been fantastic (even when it's clear they're massively stretching themselves, as they were over the summer) and the Seiji Kishi/Makoto Uezu team-up people were concerned about could more than have nailed it, and the original material in Blood Blockade Battlefront was amongst it's best elements. Anyway, Viz released volume 2 of the manga today, so I look forward to reading that later on...

When people say they think it'll be given tonnes of filler, presumably they're ignoring the fact that most series don't get more than 12-24 eps these days, so filler wouldn't even enter into the equation?

Surely if there's at least four or five volumes of the manga in Japan so far they won't need to resort to filler?

People are currently working on the assumption it will be a long-running show, no idea why. But there was a comment about there being an anime-only episode of Naragami, and large portions of Blood Blockade Battlefront are completely anime original, despite there being 10 volumes of that to adapt. (The entire White/Black plot line is anime original.)

My personal guess is that, aside from Toei, we won't see a long-running show again for quite some time. I would have pegged Seven Deadly Sins as a probable candidate (perhaps the only current manga candidate I can think of, unless somebody continues Space Brothers), but that seems to be going for the several seasons of 24 episodes each model. Which, to be honest, probably works a hell of a lot better.

Amazon & AOL are showing two push backs:

Ping Pong - October 31st 2016.
Parasyte The Movie Part 1 - April 11th 2016.

Ping Pong is one hell of a push back but it's likely TBC I guess? Maybe something to do with the "something special" Andrew mentioned.

It'll be Q1 2016, issue is actually with what we can include as seems it's a very tough project for approvals!

That's a relief. Would love for it to be soon, but if you guys can get some cool additions, then it'd make the longer wait bearable. :p

Just received an update regarding Anime Limited's Mai Mai Miracle Kickstarter. They have just received the English dub and backers should expect their copies in January/February 2016. The general retail release will only include the standard amaray edition and will only be available following a minimum of six months after it has been released to backers - so July/August 2016.
