Surely they must have known what they were getting into by referencing GG in the first place. No way this wasn't done on purpose to draw attention or something. Not exactly sure why though.
At the risk of sounding like a GG'er (I'm not, I'm just not wholy sympathateic to a side that goads $152k and then preduces low quality and poorly reserched work) it sounds as if this was an act of Clickbaiting on Fuimation's part.

How many more people now know about Prison School now that this whole bloody mess has happened? How many more people will watch that bloody mess?

Therein lies why they goaded people into talking about that show.

Game Theory has a pretty good episode about all this.

Well it depends on which aspects of the series you enjoy. If you like the fanservice then nise is the best.

If you look beyond the fanservice, which they did ramp up massively, a lot of important information is conveyed in Nise. At the very least it introduces 3 important characters that have roles in future arcs. It finally gives us some information about his sisters, who until this point it looked like the author intended never to appear and to merely be plot devices, info on Senjougahara's past and a conversation with Shinobu.

I can't really imagine how the series would be if Nise hadn't happened

-edit-

Going back over the posts I've not read I see we now have a date and trailer for Kizu

I'm not 100% why they have tweaked the style, It does happen with movies ofc because of bigger budgets but I did think the series already had quite a weighty budget. What's bugging me most is the apparent red tint a lot of those scenes have, very odd.

Dengeki Bunko have announced new anime plans for both Accel World and Sword Art Online.

However, both works will be original material and not based on the source.

Accel World will have a new season called Accel World: Infinite Burst which features a new storyline and new & returning characters.

Sword Art Online will have a new film.

The creator is involved with both projects.

I'm happy there's going to be more Accel World as really liked the first series but i don't like that it's going to be original material not based on the manga/LNs as the second half of the first series which i think was original material wasn't as good as the first half which was based on the manga/LNs.

At least there's going to be an S2 with AW (if not the actaul continuation which is a bit of an arse).

SAO I don't see moving on to the Underworld Arc so that's probably an ALfheim or Gun Gale Story (which is good because ALfheim really stopped being crap as soon as the author was allowed to breathe with teh concept or more than one game).

No news on Index Season 3 yet but they are very sorry.

Miki says starting 7:12:28 in the above video: "Lastly, there is no season 3 yet for Index. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm very sorry." Miki then bowed multiple times to the audience and even did a prostrating dogeza pose on the stage.

Well that will piss off the people who seem convinced they're getting Heavy Object instead of Index S3.

I get that Heavy Object didn't have the most amazing début episode ever, but it certainly doesn't deserve the hate Index fans are giving it. I personally think Heavy Object is going to improve massively, now it's got all the exposition out of the way, but I am seemingly the only one...

I think the best bet for Sword Art Online would be a new story set in ALfheim Online or perhaps even better, a whole new game entirely (which they could totally set next year's game in - come on Aniplex, you know that'll print money). Frankly, I'm just glad that it isn't an adaptation of say, Progressive or a recap of Aincrad.

The thing is progressive needs to be the manga version where it's the adventrures of Adventure Fencer Asuna and her sometimes on sometimes off Tuxedo Dork male acomplance, Kirito. I mean it doesn't quite match the Majesty that is Abridged Kirito but it's pretty amazing seeing Aincard played out in full.

That's ok because Index is a load of boring and Railgun is where it's at.

What are you talking about....
Index is more interesting then railgun
I'm sorry but I'll watch Kuruko be a spaz a million times more than I'll watch Index be stupid and Bland McGenericProtag stop things from happening with his right hand.

I have to admit Index made me laugh when I watched it as it's the epitome of Light Novel self-obsession disappearing up its own backside via lengthy 'this is how my special power works!' monologues. When it's not spending twenty minutes leering at Mikoto's thighs, it's trying to be all edge-lord and going gory for a moment or two or having Mr. Protagonist punch a woman in the face.

It's enjoyable in an average enough way, but by no means is it amazing.

Come on..... a girl who is in high school hanging out with close nit friends and has a lesbian stalker and is living a day by day school life... but with powers.

The whole magic thing in index and the darker side of index is more interesting..... ok the kid with the hand that can stop things isn't really that interesting... but after what happened to him with the ether is interesting and he has to learn who he is and who everyone else is again.. that in its self is interesting.

With railgun even the manga doesn't concentrate on her in later chapters... or so I heard... also the anime is mostly filler in railgun....

I can respect you like railgun and not liking index... which is cool with me I'm not an elitist.

Something about railgun didn't sit right with me.... maybe it's because of the whole moe bunch of friends school life filler that doesn't anywhere til the second season when she can't do nothing to help her sister clones

Thought Monogatari series: Final Season was the last in the Monogatari franchise? Think again.

Monogatari series: Off Season is the fourth season (originally known as Next Season) in the novel franchise. The first volume Orokamonogatari will be out in Japanese bookstores very soon. The second volume has also been teased as Wazamonogatari which is slated for sometime in 2016.

--------------

Takashi Miike will be directing the live-action adaptation of Blade in the Immortal, which is slated for 2017. Takuya Kimura will play the lead character Manji, a rōnin warrior cursed with an immortal body. This will be Miike's next work after the live-action adaptation of Terraformars.

I swear every time I hear what GamerGaters collectively want all of the goalposts have moved. It's normal for dubs (and translated manga scripts) to rework references to make them more relevant to the new audience. It's annoying but it's not as though this is anything unusual, and if the GG crowd is surprised that a teen girl might find them annoying enough to use as an insult then they probably need to think about the kind of people their campaigning most upset. Whether you love GG or hate them, it's not exactly implausible that they're going to be talked about in that way by certain demographics. They should be happy their movement received permanent recognition like this at all.
Something Zac has pointed out on Twitter:
I still get the occasional hatespam about how we filtered "SJW" and most of its permutations to "person I disagree with politically"
The funny thing about it to me is that a ton of derogatory terms for gaters are also filtered. They never notice that.
They never notice it because the people who disagree with them don't have a stupid catchphrase or catch-all slur to use
And nobody brings up GG unless GG folks have come in and started pissing all over everything. So there's little use for it.
It's amusing to me. Our system is fair. It has proven to keep stupid circular arguments out of our forums, both "sides" are treated equally.
