Aren't the last 3 episodes of bakemono unavailable for legal streaming?

Just looked it up, Viewster only has the first 12. It's good enough, if I like I'll see how much the DVDs are.

Then I'll realise it's Aniplex and faint...
It's been picked up by MVM so I guess the DVDs are eligible for the DOTW thing they've got going on.

Also MVM but still expensive from them. I got bake from in a comp and I'm really grateful because the monogatari series is one of my favs. I am also going to buy all the MVM volumes sometime so it was a good business decision.

That's just downright inaccurate. The order is literally just broadcast order. Start at Bakemonogatari then just go through by air date. It's simple really.

ONA or TV series? Also, the fact I had to look up broadcast orders speaks volumes, I may hate the title Durarara!!x2, but at least it's clear which order they go in.

The ONAs only ever go between the TV, they never broadcast simultaneously, so watching them by date still applies. If that's a hassle then somone on reddit put together a handy watch order list.

Tokyo Ghoul Collectors BD set is sold out on Anime Limited's own store: http://www.alltheanime.com/products/tok ... 2963994052

"Only 1000 units of this Limited Edition set are being produced. However this set is NOT exclusive to one retailer. Once our allocation is sold out we're unsure if we will be getting any more in-stock. We encourage you to check with other retailers."

Yeah, if you want this I think you may wanna get it ASAP. It's been three days since the official release! Crazy.

Damn, can't find it on Zavvi or Base either  maybe have to grab this....

Triggers new anime leaked on the latest installment of PASH! magazine. It's called Kiznaiver and is directed by Hiroshi Kobayashi and is his directional debut, written by Mari Okada. There's more info out there but I'm not the one to post magazine scans unlike some websites...

Saw this on my twitter feed:

Apparently the stories will deal with the "distant past."

That's..a pretty big bloody deal.

EDIT: Crunchyroll post : http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2 ... ics-talent

So clearly I am the only person who thinks it couldn't be less of a big deal if it was actually trying. Only person I've heard of on that list is Scott Snyder...

I only have a passing interest in Attack on Titan, but the creators involved are pretty damn good (I'm a lot more into western comics). Pretty tempted to get this, especially as my favourite writer/artist Faith Erin Hicks is working on a part of it.

Am I the only one who was very disappointed with the announcement? I don't give a damn about comics even though the people involved might be good as I've heard a few times already. I have no interest in this. Kodansha do me a favor, localize Hajime no Ippo manga and I forgive you lol

Yup, have to admit that's a pretty underwhelming announcement - though my hype for AOT has kind of been burnt out by this point anyway. Either way, have no interest in Western comics so it's not really my bag anyway.

I think it's a good announcement for the hobby overall; there's definitely an appetite for everything Attack on Titan and this will get more comic readers curious about that weird series their anime-liking friends keep going on about. I also kinda like the idea that the western side is contributing to the AoT phenomenon too in a distinctly American way. Whether I'll give the anthology a try depends on how it looks when it's released.

I think, for me, at this stage (aside from the inevitable second season) the one thing I think AOT could really do with/would get me excited about it again, would be if a terrestrial UK TV channel picked it up. While the whole 'why is anime not on TV' thing is pretty academic at this point - the people who watch anime don't really watch much traditional TV anyway - I think in the special instance of AOT (and AOT is pretty much the biggest 'special case' anime as a medium has had in a long time) it could really do with a proper TV broadcast.

Considering how much subtitled content (ie. Scandi thrillers) channels like BBC 4 show at the moment, it'd be interested to see if there was any uptake there in terms of them showing AOT subtitled as 'serious' content. Even if it was on at like midnight or something.
