Ya I spotted that too...wonder why 009 Re:Cyborg is under the
101 label on Amazon? Another placeholder I would assume. Then again, Anime Limited were selling 101's stuff at their MCM London stand, and they did snap up The Place Promised in our Early Days from them. :? Perhaps there's some sort of business relationship there? I'm probably reading too much into it really.
I also am kinda thinking there is some kind of partnership going on. And checking what I know I might have a theory:
- Anime Ltd said IIRC they'd release a show on BD if there's a (decent) HD master for it.
- Elfen Lied by 101 Anime is a rerelease of the old ADV dvds. A BD master exists.
- RahXephon by 101 Anime is a rerelease of the old ADV dvds. A BD master exists.
- Lady Death by 101 Anime is a rerelease of the old ADV dvd. A BD master exists.
- Place Promised was originally listed by 101 Anime, but moved to Anime Ltd.
- In both cases of Elfen Lied & Place Promised 101 Anime indicated being interested in releasing it on BD.
Could it be that Andrew of Anime Ltd and Steve of 101 Anime have some kind of agreement where all titles that Andrew can't licence for BD release (for Anime Ltd) while a BD master exists go to 101 Anime?
(It's possible, Andrew still works as a consultant for Kaze for what I know)
I know the question then is: How about 009 Re:Cyborg?
Either I believe it's a listing mistake
(because of the partnership perhaps?), or it accidentally got sent off to online shops way too early while negotiations were going on
(also indicating a partnership; this could be true seeing november & december releases haven't been announced yet from both of them), or they are combining powers
(could it be Andrew asked 101 Films to author the 3D BD?), and/or maybe they are splitting costs
(All The Anime: theatrical+dub, 101 Anime: release+packaging).
Whatever it is..
(I tweeted to them, hoping for an answer) As long as the outcome is neat (high quality) I'm fine wit it. ^_^
If the date holds for the BD release the turnaround time comparing it to the Japanese release would be
about 7.5 to 8 months.

I'm not entirely sure I want to watch Lady Death (I hadn't heard of this before until yesterday), but think I'll put RahXephon on my list of titles I should get eventually to watch legit now it's getting rereleased.
Something I'm asking myself though is why all the distributors are picking 14 october for their early/first "Q4 releases"?
- Manga Entertainment: FMA:B Collection 2
- Anime Limited: Place Promised in Our Early Days
- Anime Limited: Perfect Blue
- 101 Anime: Lady Death
- 101 Anime: RahXephon
And it wouldn't surprise me if MVM were to announce they are releasing Another on 14 october as well. I always said I'd pre-order Another, so I'd like to keep my "promise" on that one. Yet I feel very tempted to get PPiOED despite my situation. Let's wait and see for more Q4 dates and titles.
And yes, I'm aware it's very likely for episode 0 of Another to not be part of the UK release after all, seeing the US one doesn't have it
after all either.

Ahhh great spot! Makes sense that it would be another ADV title. What else falls under the same category that could be re-released? Perhaps
some stuff from this list on ANN that hasn't already gone elsewhere (as Last Exile has).
There are lots of interesting titles on that link, I wouldn't mind seeing some of those rereleased in 2014. Let's wait and see. But since as of late a lot of ADV licence rescues have been going on I would really like somebody to step up and go for some Revelations' stuff? I want TsukuYomi Moon Phase & School Rumble on my shelf. I'm also interested in watching some of Revelations' other releases.
