It's fairly temperate where I'm located, we usually only get into single digits here maybe twice a winter, usually in February. Plus I'm located in town; we had a low of 2° F overnight, but just ouside of town they went down to -7° F. Normal temps for Christmas here is low 40's, and it's supposed to get up to 55° F next weekend for New Year's. I'm just on the east side of the Appalacian Mountains, so they block a lot of the bad weather and snow coming in from the prevailing west.

Aye! I haven't had any wine in quite a long time; my drinking staple is Captain Morgan Private Stock, so smooth and silky for sipping. Spiced rum is especially fitting for the holidays! Cheers, me matey! (lifts leg in Captain Morgan pose)
 
The 3rd season of "His Dark Materials" is quite good, the BBC having released all the episodes on iPlayer to allow people to watch it without having to wait for an episode per week.
