I got a final update from my
November 2019 PROMARE night attack. It took a very long time because of COVID and also one of the individuals having a warrant out for them which the longer it takes, the worse it'll be. The jury also wanted to sentence them altogether and so as of today, it has been sorted and they finally offered the results.
- Two of them will be detained for 32 months.
- One of them has 19 months imprisonment and will be suspended for 18 months.
- One of them has 18 months order, with supervision for 12 months, plus 150 hours unpaid work for 12 months and a curfew for 3 months.
- One of them has 19 months imprisonment and will be suspended for 24 months.
There's apparently compensation involved but details are slim on it.
It's a frightening experience no doubt, but it would have been a lot worse if a weapon was involved. I didn't need any form of therapy, but sometimes I remember that moment and it only leaves me with frustration and anger. I'm happy the matter is now resolved as you would think they could just walk away free given how long it's been, but those individuals attacked someone else a week prior to their attack on me so they basically ruined it for themselves.
I haven't watched PROMARE since that night and while I do own it on Blu-ray, I don't know if I can rewatch it without remembering what happened afterwards as I generally have a good visual memory for these things. But we shall see.
