Also, Maltos, "addictive".
Sorry Sir. :p

Anyway, finished it. Very good series! And also a very nice way to spend a summer's day, when I've been slacking on the anime and manga lately. I say "lately". More like "for the last year or so".

lol, I try not to say things like that, but "addicting" is a real pet peeve.

As for why the language shouldn't continue to change... well, in this case it's because "addicting" doesn't make any sense, imo!

Random request for knowledge:

Anyone know anything about THIS manga? All I can find about it is that Amazon page and it's author, Ohishi Masaru (and there seems to be little information about him on the English speaking web).
The cover (below) is just wonderful. I'd love to find out more about it. Oh, and the reason for posting it here? I didn't think it was worth posting an entire thread about it.

It looks to be a fairly rare one anyway. Most series, manga or otherwise are generally findable on MAL, but its not there, nor can i find his name on ANN either. i would look deeper, but being at uni, its fairly hard to do so =/

@Maltos - My trusty Japanese - Romaji translator informs me the title is "Mizuiro Pafekuto" either "Perfect Light-Blue" or (perhaps more likely) "The Perfect Colour of Water". That'll have to do for now... I'm a little busy.

Ah, thank you for the help, everyone! I've managed to find the chap on ANN and some raw scans of one of his other works. If the art is anything like the cover of that one, I might have to take a swing at the Japanese volume, just to see what it's like.

Once again, cheers :)

Hmm... I guess "Pafekuto" means it's a collection or something then. The first translation it came up with was "Perfect Blue" which threw me a little.

I'm going to get some Japanese keyboard stickers so I can find translations of text on pictures. Once I've got them who needs human translators? I can translate my Patlabor bunkobans myself... It'll help me with my learning too I imagine.

You were right that it meant Perfect, just not that it was connected to the title as might reasonably be assumed. It's always fun trying to pick out titles from the overload of words on the front of some (many) Japanese publications ;)

Well, i go to egypt for two weeks and anarchy set in? flame wars, people feeling that the atmosphere is too unwelcoming and cctv in delinquents homes?

Seems like things spiralled into a unforgivable void of bitterness......

Lighten up people lol lifes too short for arguing and insults.
first thing monday morning i'm spamming my own thread with pictures, travels and stories from the sand infested, oven that was egypt :D

till then, play nice :)

Apparently local traders are a little too keen to make money off tourists in Egypt. I've been told that visitors to places of interest will be lead in through one entrance, then out through a separate exit lined with eager souvenir salespeople. Said salespeople will then flock around their potential customers and go to great lengths to receive funds from them, marking up prices whenever necessary, and often when not.
Perhaps some people's experiences were better than others'.

Oh i just found something better then K-on

cheers for the welcome backs :)

Although i haven't had chance with organising my camera and all the pics of the holiday i shall sit down and get it sorted tonight, ready to upload a few tomorrow.

@Zin5ki: I know what your on about. in many of the tourist spots (at the pyramids they went crazy) the locals went crazy for tourists, you walk down the road and every single shop owner beckons you to look at their shop. every taxi beeps its horn as it goes past you. 2 days in ciaro is enough to knock you out for a week easily.....from hurghada where we where, we had a 6 hour coach ride to cairo, herded round the museum of ancient egypt, its crowded, hot and the air is dry....people fell due to heat strokes and dehydration. taken to other places and our tour guide must live in a volcano somewhere because the locals where staying out of the sun and there was our tour guide walking about as if it was 20 degrees, don't think i saw him break a sweat once.

Went on a few day trips on boats, snorkling and scuba diving in the red sea, the sharks out there are abit too friendly...coming across to say hello, face to face. the boat owner said that he has never been afraid of the normal sharks but the hammerhead is a different matter completely, so i decided to stay on the boat for most of it :p which ended up with me burning my knees and feet.....the shins and thighs where still white and the rest where bright red and angry lol.

Had a 24 hour bar on the floor below my room so on an evening i didn't have to venture too far for a drink, my family where eaten to death my mosquitos.....they don't like armani or lacoste so didn't bother with me.....although minutes from getting off the plane a mozzi used my ear as a buffet ¬_¬

The holiday was great and the weather was lovely. but i think that this is the last time i'll head to egypt. last year when we went to El Gaunna we met other people and the holiday was excellent, this year we got talking to some other english people but nobody between the ages of 17-25 so i felt abit bored.

i liked the conversion of money though....one british pound = roughly 8 egyptian pounds (last year it was 1 = 10 but with the economic climate where in the british quid is worth less)

Morning Tachi sounds like you had a good time, i'm not here for long, its just a brief visit. To fill you in some things you missed with your two weeks abcense, i've been offered a house (no viewing arrangement yet, something i have to clear up today).

Although now that your back, i can rest assured that the "dark times"* will not come back to haunt our little place of sunshine on this board :p

*Dark Times when used in cojunction with this thread has been copyrighted by me, and basciallly its the time where CG poked his nose into this place.

lol thats alright mate, i already knew.....you see i went through the past 20 odd pages skimming through so i'd know whats happend.

So congratz are in order to a certain extent...and i hope the viewing goes well....make sure there's a spare room should i feel the need to drive 3 hours up the road and pay a visit :p

Saturday i woke up and unpacked suitcases, started a load of washing and tidied round abit. in the afternoon i got a text of kayleigh saying she's back from france so that was good news, then i got a text off ben saying he's back from scotland and has a free house.. i then called round the lads and organised a lads night on the spot. leo came round at 8.30, i ran round the house looking for my washbag (that i'd taken on holiday) and couldn't find it anywhere...to the point i figured that i'd left it in a suitcase and had put them into the loft earlier....i hoped that wasn't the case as i didn't want to be climbing into the loft and looking round for it. so in the end sprayed some addidas deoderant and left. walked down to the Co-op that sam works at and bought a crate of stella and a crate of strongbow. then walked to bens. we played rock band, watched match of the day and mostly sat around talking and joking (later ended up watching the stand up in scotland thing on comedy central)
walked home at 3am and went to bed straight away. woke up yesterday feeling rough as hell....walked over to the crate i'd brought back and there was 4 bottles left.....it was then when i realised....i'd drunk 14 beers on my own...the lads had stuck to strongbow all night. text kayleigh and found out when were meeting up..looked round my room and grabbed the bag with the handbags i'd bought kayleigh from egypt and realised that my washbag had randomly made its way into the bag somehow, atleast it was found i thought to myself (bought her a D&G small handbag and a larger Louis Vittion bag...and no they wheren't knock off fakes...cost me a bloody bombshell!) ...went to town and watched the proposal. not bad movie tbh, then went for a walk and at 7 her dad text her saying their all going down to Niro's for dinner because its her aunts birthday. so i got roped into going... and spent the night talking to Dean (kayleighs older sisters boyfriend) and to members of her family....turns out the aunt whose birthday it was knew taylor (the girl who got stabbed months ago and died, who i'd known for years) and also knew sam too. she was also at the funeral... so we talked about that for abit, another aunt and uncle had just got back from egypt aswell so they wanted to talk about that....basically i fit right in, which was good as i was abit worried about being in a room where i only knew quarter of the people.
got back just after 12 and my parents wheren't too impressed as i hadn't ironed anything for work. so got up today and got it sorted :thumb: now sat in work scratching my legs every couple of minutes....they've very nicely decided to peel ¬_¬

The irritation is unbearable!!!!
