The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

I don't think the Mushi-Shi on Netflix includes the between seasons OVA, nor does it seem to include the "Path of Thorns" special double episode (which is odd, since I think it's technically part of the second season). Those episodes are on Crunchyroll though.

Since the show is generally episodic, it's not really a huge problem to just jump in at any episode but there is a little bit of continuity surrounding Ginko and a few other characters that might make more sense if you watch things in order.

A hereby propose a sequel focussing on fish-and-chip shop side dishes: Mushi-Pea.

Nishishi's
were had that day

Blood Blockade Battlefront Collector's Edition - I wasn't too keen on the idea of paying close to £50 so it was gonna be one of the shows I passed on (at least for now) but I saw it posted in the What you Receive thread and I'm weak so here we are...
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood: The Complete Collection Parts 1 & 2 - Kinda shocking I didn't have this on BD tbh. I paid £15 for Part 1 and £27 for Part 2 which I'm happy enough with.

Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Heart Throb - Complete Series: Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD]

Forgot to pre-order this title. I would use United Publications but I figured I'll make use of Rightstuf once again. The total payment ended up being $111.45 including postage. Basically around £93. I have Got Anime so it discounted that instead of the Sentai sale coupon (the coupon doesn't work with Got Anime on pre-order items). For comparison UP1 UK's total price with postage is £105.78.

Note: I do want to get Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine CE but I may hold it out since Season 1's CE didn't sell out. Therefore there's plenty of time to acquire the set at a later point.

Worth noting though that as a result the Second CE will get less printed due to the lesser sales of the first set. You'll probably be alright for quite awhile but it's always worth remembering that later volumes tend to always get less printed as sales naturally decline.

The Place Promised in Our Early Days/Voices of a Distant Star - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD]

Credit to @crashmatt for discovering this. I was originally going to pick this one up at MCM Birmingham but since it was £19.99 on HMV I decided to go ahead with it. Saves me £5.01 lol. I have been waiting since it was first announced back at February 2013 for this film so I'm glad it's almost here.

So far here's what I am expecting to arrive in November:
  • Eden of the East - Complete TV & Movie: Collector's Edition [Blu-ray]
  • Kabukimonogatari - Mayoi Jiangshi: Limited Edition [Blu-ray]
  • Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Heart Throb - Complete Series: Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD]
  • Mai Mai Miracle - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD]
  • Otorimonogatari - Nadeko Medusa: Limited Edition [Blu-ray]
  • The Place Promised in Our Early Days/Voices of a Distant Star - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD]
  • Your Lie in April - Part 1: Collector's Edition [Blu-ray]
  • (+ MCM Birmingham Pickups!)

Children Who Chase Lost Voices - Sentai Selects [Blu-ray & DVD]
Looks like November is going to be Shinkai month for me, given I have The Place Promised & Voices set ordered plus I'm going to see Your Name at the local Cineworld. Amazon US was selling the film for under $10 so I figured I'll go ahead since I haven't seen the film plus the Sentai Selects version looks cool. £15 for the current conversion rate.

Interestingly enough that just leaves 5 Centimeters per Second left to acquire.

Lucky you..... :p

Unrelated but I see you ordered the twin pack from HMV above, do they charge right away or at dispatch? £20 is a pretty tempting price on a set I was gonna skip....

I went via PayPal so I got the payment out of the way. I found this on the FAQ:
If you are paying by credit or debit card, we won’t charge you until your order has been picked at our warehouse, at which point our acceptance of your order takes place. If you’ve ordered multiple items, we’ll send the in-stock items and charge for these as they are dispatched.

Ordered from book depository
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (novel) vol 3
Seraph of the End: Guren Ichinose ~Catastrophe at Sixteen~ (novel) vol 3
Ten Count (yaoi) vol 2

Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (not) Alone - Collector's Edition [Blu-ray & DVD]
Yes I double-dipped for this set. I do enjoy the Rebuild of Evangelion series (even the third film which has a ton of problems, but the OST is in my opinion awesome), especially You Can (not) Advance.

On the upside of this re-release I finally get my hands on the 1.11 booklet lol.
