The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

Bleach Series 15
Lucky Star (AL Early Bird)

Barring my cheap Death Note pre order in December and a pending purchase from a forum member, these will probably be the last anime purchases until Christmas for me. My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas, so I gave them an Amazon wishlist pretty much full of anime, and I wouldn't want to buy anything they were already planning on buying me for Christmas! So, unless there's some really good deals on, it's going to be very quiet in terms of purchases for a couple of months.

Lucky Star from AL

moved my order from Amazon to AL to save that glorious money, and finally get one of the best shows in my collection.

I only have 1 more anime on order till Christmas, and that is Seraph of the End Part 2

Also Lucky Star but from Amazon UK, as with AL store shipping costs, Amazon is cheaper for me, but with the exchange rate £ to € i'm not one to complain ;)
Also from Amazon UK Tatami Galaxy and Ouran High School Host Club

pre-ordered from zoom.co.uk
Seraph of The End: Series 1 - Part 2 (Collector`s Edition) (Zoom Exclusive Bonus Card) [Blu-Ray]...used code SIGNUP10 to get 10% off so it came to £36

Lucky Star from AL - Been thinking of grabbing the Funimation Version for a while and this totally slipped under my radar until it popped up in an e-mail yesterday.

Gundam - Reconguista in G Complete BD set
Outlaw Star Collector's Edition

I decided to grab these now as I'm holding off on Escaflowne at the moment so shifted some plans around. (still unsure if I want the Ultimate as the set looks far too big and seeing it next to the US set in Blaizes photo didn't help...I love the show a lot though so probably still get it, be great to see in next to the FMP Ultimate to gauge size better before I commit).

Few other things I wanna grab this month but not quite decided what else to grab now....That said, I bought these this morning before work so I thought they would have shipped by now (Anime-On-Line), never mind.

So, people in the Discord chat were chatting about Light Novels, and I came to the realisation that I never did finish No Game No Life Volume 1, despite only having 1 chapter and the epilogue left, so I finished that, then remembered Re Zero Volume 2 was out, so I bought that. Very happy to see they're continuing with the ridiculously cheap £4 price per digital volume.

Yup - the generally cheap prices on LN's across the board is a godsend. The literary quality on the other hand is variable, to say the least.

The Re Zero ones are generally pretty well written though, thankfully.

Took my first plunge in the Right Stuff Christmas Sale. I thought I'd put in a few orders (assuming I do make a second order) rather than grouping them in one huge order because it'll probably save me a little on shipping and tax. I went ahead and bought:
  • Strawberry Panic (DVD) - I was told that if I like yuri, I should probably watch this, so I thought I might as well buy it given it's not streaming anywhere. I also read somewhere the release might be a bit crap given the whole Media Blasters DVD-R thing, but it's only a tenner, so it's no huge loss if it is poor.
  • Strawberry Marshmallow (Blu Ray) - Weirdly enough, continuing the strawberry theme, this just looked really adorable. I like me some cute girls doing cute things, and this certainly looks like one of those.
  • The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura Premium Edition (BD+DVD) - Now this is a series that holds a special place in my heart. Kotoura-san, as it's known in Japan, was actually the first anime I ever watched subtitled. This was years ago now but I remember being really quite into this show at the time, and for £20, this LE was a steal. That and it has probably one of my favourite openings ever. It's so damn adorable and catchy!
I would've bought GochiUsa, but it tipped the shipping over from ~$20 to ~$30, and since I've seen it already, it's lower priority.

When Marnie Was There was my sole acquisition from Hyper Japan today. Despite the £11 price sticker on other units of the same title, United Publications charged me a pound less for the sake of their coinage management.
