Birdy the Mighty Decode part 1 & 2 - I'll be real honest, I bought this when I was drunk and I have no idea why, I literally knew nothing about it. Maybe when I'm drunk cute anime girls can sway me all that much easier, either way, I learned something today lol Oy Vey.....

Anyway had a quick read up on it and doesn't sound too bad so I'll give it a fair go, wasn't exactly expensive anyway.
 
Bought: Macross Zero BD (JP)

Nearly there now, just Macross 7 left to get and then I've got the entire Macross franchise on BD - screw you HG :thumb:

Pre-ordered FUNi's Resurrection "F" CE from UP1 so that would be about £190 I would have spent on the film. Good God when you total it up like that it does seem a lot.
 
Serial Experiments Lain - I paid a bit more than I wanted to for it but what ya gonna do, I'm sure the extra I spent won't have me going hungry lol I adore this series and it was a crime I didn't own it tbh.

Was it the Funi LE BD?

Ordered what I hope was the Funi LE BD of Serial Experiments Lain myself today. the UPC was right but the listing was a little unclear so bit of a gamble.

It was yeah, I bought mine used from eBay but it looked like it was in great condition. I also don't feel too bad about paying more than I would have liked as I just realized that the seller is the same person I got Akito the Exiled Vol.1 LE from for £10 a while back, and I still feel like I ripped him off on that one. :lol:
 
I think I was looking at that one myself. It was £20 when I first watched it but when I checked back and saw it was £40 it was already way more than I wanted to pay. I have no idea what it went for in the end. The same guy was also selling Gunbuster which I really wanted and that ended up going for about £25 including P+P. That's actually quite cheap and I would have pushed more if I had the cash. Oh well.
 
Yeah that's the one I bought, I ended up paying £52.01 for it which as I said, more than I wanted to but sometimes you just get caught up in the bidding war. I was pretty interested in Gunbuster too but decided to focus on Lain as it's a show I know I love a lot and haven't seen for bloody years, and I know the BDs have banding issues but not overly concerned....problem is now I HAVE to replace my broken region free player as I really wanna watch this soon.

To be fair that's a pretty good price. I mean take a look at the £ equivalent across amazon (it's been that way for a while).

Mine was Ebay too but US. With shipping and customs it came to about £45 but I would have happily paid an extra tenner for it not to be a gamble.
