The Anime/Manga I Bought Today Was...

All those cheap Sentai blu rays but not a single Kiniro Mosaic to be found :(

I'm disappointed Another, ef complete collection and Fate/Stay Night complete collection weren't part of the deal. They were there but around normal prices.

I'm very tempted to buy Elfen Lied and Spice and Wolf but I feel I've been burning through my Birthday money too quickly. Between what I ordered from CeX, Ergo Proxy and now HOTD, I've spent over £60. Elfen Lied and Spice and Wolf would be another £20 and that's not including import tax.

I don't know how it works in the UK but here if the value of your shipment is under the threshold you won't have to pay additional taxes.

Anyone have experience with rarewaves in general? Likely to ship items individually or mark values on packaging?

I think shipping was EUR 7.20 per item as amazon assumes you are shipping italy > uk... If you were buying this stuff with an Italian delivery address...

I'm gonna bet it will just ship from US to UK but you'll have tracking set through Amazon IT.

The estimated shipping thinks it will get here by July 20th-21st. Haha I doubt that.

I'm not expert on importing. I've never imported a DVD/Blu Ray from the US before. I've only had stuff from France and Australia and I didn't get charged for Tax however I did once import some T-Shirts from the US and did get hit by customs so I'm unsure.

I've imported a fair bit from marketplace sellers and it quite often depends on the seller... I'd have higher confidence that it would be ok if I'd have stuck to a single thing...

I just hope this isn't something like a seller who is going going bankrupt reducing prices with no intention to fulfill orders. I doubt that's the case though - they would probably done it on more amazon locales than just .it

How have you guys ordered some the cheap blu rays off amazon.it? All in one order or a few separate orders so each order is under £15 before postage?

I did separate orders. I think Msgeek did a group one.

Is £15 the tax threshold?

There is no tax threshold with Italy, unless they've departed the EU recently :p

Ah, great. HOTD just narrowly escapes Import Tax then. It comes to around £14 according to Google's exchange rates.

@Lavigne, it's the Italian site but the seller is dispatching from the US.

Yea I did a mixture of singles + Groups... shipping was nearly as much as the items at EUR 7.20 per item but overall the price was still insanely low. I guess even if I do get hit by customs I still got a bargain - even if it goes as far as doubling the effective price...
