I think our best bet would be to gather a few sensible options then putting them in a strawpoll to see which is the most popular then going with that.

This seems like a good idea at this point, as the suggestions are just going round in circles now. Saying that, FMA Brotherhood got a good number of votes already, so I wouldn't be offended if everyone just wanted to skip the poll and go for that.

That's true but I think a poll would be more helpful. There might be more people interested in doing a simulwatch who just haven't tossed their hat into the ring. I wouldn't mind putting the poll togrether but it needs narrowing down to a handful of shows I think. Not sure what would be a good number. 5 or 6 maybe?

Yeah, 6 would probably be fine - I think anything more than that and you might struggle to get a clear winner.

Wouldn't a multiple choice poll solve this issue? You just tick any show you'd actually watch should it be chosen, making the votes less dispersed

The problem with the original FMA series is it's currently not available here in the UK on DVD/Blu-ray or streaming.

Funimation has taken down some of the subbed videos on their youtube channel, so you can't even watch it there

Watching them both is also kind of redundant seeing as the first half of both are nigh on identical. Looking back over the last few pages, Brotherhood is the only show brought up multiple people agreed on so I'm still not sure which should be put up to poll. Maybe it would be best just to pick 6 random choices...

I think we'd need to rule that one out - Giant Robo isn't streaming anywhere and the used price for the DVDs is now sky high.

AF, make sure for any suggestion you make that it is streaming somewhere so that anybody who doesn't own it can watch it as well. If it's not streaming it should be available quite cheaply, i suggested Outlaw Star as it's streaming and it's also quite cheap on DVD at around £9-10 atm for 26 episodes.
