Oh no, I really hope Spike Spencer returns as Shinji. Sure, he didn't like the character very much, but he sure did do a great job as Shinji IMO.

I would be disapointed if Asuka, Rei, Misato or Shinji (and Gendo and Ritsuko to a lesser exent) don't get their original English voice actors for Eva: 1.0.
 
He was alright...not a fan of dubs therefore my opinion wasnt very high on the odd chance that i put on a episode in the background.

I don't like him as a person more funnily enough, ive listened to a couple of the commentaries on the dvds....gah, he makes my ears bleed. He's so hyperactive and utterly clueless - only opening his mouth to say "oh look theres me being whiny"

Shiro Sagisu appears to have done a great job with RoE 1.0's OST! I'll definately be buying it when it's released in the US.

He's a self-proclaimed "Otaku" [Ugh I HATE when people refer to themselves as that] and his favourite series are FMA and Bleach, aren't Otaku meant to be into the underground stuff? ;/ and he's ragging off EVA? [Which Ark never likes as bashing on EVA is bad] Plus he's another one of those Haruhi fanboys.

And the animation and ending are terrible? Lololol.
 
Did he just compare Shinji and Asuka to Haruhi Suzumiya characters? And call Rei "weird"? Did he really say that Gainax didn't care all that much about this series, the series that would either make or break them?

Agree with you, Lupus Inu - hate the way some people call themselves otaku. Also, both Ark and CitizenGeek think that "ragging off Eva" is bad ;]

I don't mind people critisizing Eva or anything else. However if they choose to only make stupid criticisms I'm going to mock them.

("Biblical prophecies" my ass. As if he actually felt that and didn't just regurgitate it after hearing it from someone else.)

I don't mind people levelling 'real' critiques at Eva, because I'm sure they exist, but if they make mindless, ill-informed criticisms, then I'll take issue with that, too!

Seriously though a lot of the critiques I hear of Eva remind me of those in regards to The Phantom Menace (by non-star wars fans anyway). There were dozens of intelligent criticisms that could have been made of it but instead people prefered to go with statements like "It didn't feel like the original films" or my favourite "All the political stuff was boring". I think some people don't understand the difference between objective structural weaknesses and something not fitting their personal tastes. What really made me laugh was when critics went on to say that Attack of the Clones was an improvement which is blatantly not the case (I think what they really meant was that it was better because it had more explosions).
 
Anyone want to see some clips (taken at the Pusan film festival in Korea) of the Sachiel battle, the end of the Ramiel battle and the 'preview' for Eva 2.0 from YOU ARE (NOT) ALONE?

Well, you can do so right here!

The version showm at Pusan even had English subtitles, which means we could well see RoE show up at other film fests in Europe and the US.
