I seriously dont get how watching a bad rip "ruins" a movie. Yes maybe if you werent aware that it was a bad rip - so you went away honestly thinking it was "supposed" to look like that but.......what?

If its unwatchable its unwatchable, no harm done, its not as if its the director's fault is it? Im not going to refuse to buy the dvd when it comes out next year because the guy holding the camcorder didnt have a steady enough hand or the person in front had a really big head. Moreover arent we all "ruining the movie" by not watching it on a cinema screen if we're going down the "how its supposed to be seen" argument?

I know its going to be bad but im gonna grin and bear it; after all, it'll make the dvd rip look all the better when i see it next year!

Fine, fine, just do that, though there might be a small chance the quality is good... oh and you're not the only one who saw 28 Weeks Later and 15 minutes of darkness. ._.

I can't wait either no matter how bad the quality i'll give it a go an keep on searching for better ones, god i'm far to impatient lol.

My friend flies to Japan on the 10th and he's off to see it, grrr i'm so jealous

Well, I've seen the first 6 eps, so I'll understand the basic premise, I think.

However, I am having second thoughts about watching it raw in crappy quality ....

Aye, i think i'll only watch it if theres a dub.
I know in my heart i'll be dissapointed if i don't see it in decent quality but it really is so hard to resist

Hehe fun times, on the plus side you could say that it made the film scarier because you couldnt see what was happening. I r gr8 direktor :wink:
 
There's a plot summary of the first Rebuild movie up on Wikipedia already. I really want to read it on one level, but on another level I don't want the movie to be spoiled for me! There does seem to be quite a lot of differences between the Rebuild movie and the first 6 eps of the series.

Its only differences between the first 6 episodes and the movie. as in

- Something was animated, Now its CG.

- Logos have changed.

- Something else in emphasized more.

Its nothing that will actually "ruin" the film.

According to the wiki write up theres a hell lot more than that!
This being the major one.
Several fight scenes and outcomes changed.
The write up on wiki will basically tell you everything that happens and ruin the end, so if you don't want it too, don't look.
I did :p

In my opinion this was a weird choice to change/include

Lilith (said to be Adam) is shown to Shinji, and Misato explains that the angels are attacking Tokyo3 because they want to free "Adam", and trigger a "third impact

These apparent "changes" aren't much, really, though I bet I get told otherwise by the next person who reads this all "ZOMG, IT THROWS EVAS FUTURE PLOTLINE OUT THE WINDOW!!!"

lol i think it puts eva's future to be something amazing.
I'm really looking forward to the next film now just to see how they are gunna go about it.
I'm so intrigued to how they will incorporate what happens in this and the changes to the next 3 films and the remaining plot line.
