Marvel vs Capcom 3

Rumours that there will be no versus mode that will let you fight the cpu (as in choose your opponents not arcade) This saddens me =(

There will be AI dlc based on the play styles of the game's devs though so that's....something? It's called Shadow Mode if anyone's interested.

Yeah, Shadow mode sounds potentially sick, but having to pay extra for it...

It's hard to take that as "making up for" the fact that you can't spectate matches while you're waiting in a lobby.

If it weren't for the comic I might well have cancelled my preorder till versus gets confirmation. I made do with MKvDC's lack of it but MVC3's lacking it would piss me off

No AI versus straight away? That's a bit of a farce. I'll pick it up anyways since most of my time on it will be spent on arcade/training/online, but it's sometimes nice to just set up a random match against the cpu =/

Shadow mode sounds nice mind you, but i'd rather have had it as unpaid DLC instead of paid. Chances are, it'll be on the disk anyways.

I don't know if it's paid, all I know is it's coming out in stages. Also the lack of AI is still a rumour at this point based on someone who streamed playing the game (now removed from YT) and upon highlighting "Versus" the description on the bottom of the screen said "battle btween two players" or something.

Maybe it's jumping to conclusions but prior MVC hasn't had any CPU versus and this AI dlc just seems... hmm

OK I figured it's time we start discussing on this discussion board so: Who's your team gonna be, just going by videos etc?

For me Wesker is a definite. Probably Iron Man and then either Joe, Spidey or Wolverine.

Chances are that it will be paid on the Xbox, considering Microsoft's ludicrous policies on DLC, but for PS3 I'm uncertain

Is it confirmed you have to pay for Shadow mode? If not then it may just be like Championship mode or whatever it was called from Street Fighter IV.

Currently thinking I will start with Chun/Viper/Hsien-ko or something along those lines. Maybe Amaterasu in there on occasion.

After seeing this vid, though, I'm thinking there might be more fun characters than I was expecting.

Shuma looks graphically pretty awesome, too.

Totes forgot about Viper. I had no feelings about her at all until I rented SFIV then I was like "meh I gues I'll give her a shot since she's in MVC3" and I loved her. Viper rules, I think I've changed my team to Wesker, IM and Viper =3

Since I haven't actually played the game I couldn't say who I will use for sure but I'm definitely interested in Super Skrull, Amaterasu, Thor and Hsien-Ko. At first I never cared for him at all but I'm interested in how Chris plays. The only downside to this game is the amount of Deadpool/Dante/Wesker players there will be.

Viper really does rule. Was my main for ages in SFIV. She definitely seems to have some neat tricks in this, but I'm hoping that every character does after watching that video.

I think they'll all have something to bring to the table.

I do like MODOK's fan nickname due to his variety of keep away attacks and porjectiles: MODOT: Mental Organism Designed Only for Trolling.

Every time I see a screenshot or video of MvC3 I want the game that little bit more; it truly is an orgasm-worthy sight to behold. But I fear it may be too fast paced and complex for my aging mind and reflexes to cope with, and I've hardly touched BlazBlue CS since I bought it in December.

Someone convince me... gowan, it won't take much.

Hmm, tough one... it will help improve your aging mind and reflexes? Kind of like Brain Training, but something that actually works. Maybe.

So many people have this game already. :(

So is MvC as difficult to play as it looks? I get discouraged if things don't happen for me, like when all my efforts at perfoming a FADC > Ultra in SFIV meet with abject failure.
