Figure discussion/picture thread

Wasn't so keen when It was announced as it's a little light on faces and accessories but what it does have are really well done and it completes my 4 set of Sabers. Nice improvement on the original supermovable too, joints are far better (though 1 arm is still more likely to pop out than the other)

Will have to do some proper photos at some point I think

Every one of my recent figures has encountered custom charges no matter who ordered from.

I've had this problem too recently, everything seemed to sail through a year or so ago but now they all get caught.

I did think it was to do with declaring in yen or dollars (dollars being far easier for customs staff to spot a fee is due) but that seems to have been disproven recently.

Got this today, still not opened it yet. I've got a display case being delivered on Monday so I'll leave it in it's box until then. It's only my third figure so buying a display case may be premature but I intend to fill it over time :)

And yes, I got hit by customs as well. In fact I've not heard of anyone recently who has dodged the customs fee, probably because the government is desperate for whatever money it can get it's hands on.
 
I want someone to make a figure of Nonon Jakuzure from Kill la Kill that doubles as a set of speakers.

Nice figure

To be honest, I don't think many begrudge the customs fee, it's the handling fee Royal Mail & Parcel Force charge on top, for most orders that charge is greater than the VAT you pay. No wonder the parcel side of Royal Mail makes a profit.

For any Holo fans out there http://myfigurecollection.net/item/12 is getting a re-release.

The preorders all sold out within the day when it went up on the 25th but it looks like most retailers have re-opened orders. (lets face it, it'd be silly for the manufacturer not to up the number they'll make if retailers are screaming for more stock allocation)

Hmm, if your going to get her I assume that it was a post office delivery?

For some reason recently all my parcels have come via parcel force when previously they'd all be post office bar the really big ones. Makes me wonder if they are making some extra cash by allowing parcel force to do the deliveries.

Got hit by this as well on my last figure, much higher than I was expecting as well.

This arrived today, no customs as it was only £13 / 2200yen (before p&p and proxy costs). I've been thinking about getting this for a while now so I couldn't resist when I realised it could be bought new for so little money. The box was a bit dusty so it's obviously been sat on a warehouse shelf somewhere since it was released back in 2007. I can't get the school bag accessory to detach so I can replace it with the knife though, or at least I don't want to pull any harder because I'll probably damage it. Ah well *shrug*.
 
Nice figure, Asakura is one of the few Haruhi girls I haven't picked up yet.

I also find myself terrified of breaking figures when parts don't seem to come off very easily!

Got these today. I'll post photos of them opened tomorrow when I'm not feeling depressed. (apart from big Kuroko cause I'm not going to open him till I move in a month or so)
