Looks nice, the face is particularly well done, overall however the figure doesn't make me want to rush out and buy it.

Also currently under death sentence if any more figures turn up. :D
 
That is quite nice, though I think one Kobato (catgirl version) is enough for my front room.

So my AmiAmi order turned up today.

I don't intend to make a habit of figure buying (I just don't have the space for it), but I'm actually very impressed with this. The articulation joints are as obvious as seems to be the way for Figma, but otherwise she's really nicely detailed. I particularly like the hands, of which there are many.

Amusingly, Lady also comes with a lot of extra parts for the figure of Cobra himself, but I wasn't that impressed with their Cobra figure. It's nicer than I remembered, but I think they way they've done the eyes makes him look older:

I think I've gone Madoka figure mad as I've now 3 different Madoka figures on pre-order (the GSC magical girl version re-issue, the yukata version and the maiko version), but I don't have the figure Japan 1st issue 1/10 scale ultimate Madoka on pre-order as it's a little too expensive from where I usually get my figures from.

And included in that is the Kobato figure mentioned on the previous page, an idolm@ster Yukiho Hagiwara swimsuit version figure and the Kuroneko one piece dress (that looks to be quite revealing from the picture I've seen) figure.
 
I've gone and done it. Bought my first figure. The first step on a slippery slope :D It's Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai and I'm very happy with it. Thankfully the shop (a shop in Japan on Amazon UK, one of the few places I could find it) claimed on the customs forms that it's much cheaper than it actually was and is a gift so it dodged customs fees.

Quick question though, as I'm not familiar with figures what is the best way to check if it is a genuine GSC figure and not a bootleg. The colours are all correct, the details appear correct, it was sent from Japan and the box has a holographic sticker next to the barcode so I think it's genuine but as I said I'm not that familiar with figures.
 
Having it shipped from Japan is one way of confirming that it isn't a bootleg (the fakes come from China or other countries), but looking up the figure on myfigurecollection.net will tell you if there are any counterfeit versions of that figure out there.

Based on the counterfeit pictures on that site I'd say I have the real thing. It will take pride of place on my manga shelf. Thanks demonix.

Well technically I picked her up for the post office, got stung with £13.25 customs. Wish they'd declare the value in Yen rather than dollars, seems to make it through customs without issue then.

Rather surprisingly I had a free gift in the box, a copy of the Japanese Haganai Vol 1 Manga :)

End of last month was the release date in Japan. From my experience UP1 normally gets them anywhere between 4-8 weeks after the Japanese release.

That figure may even be longer than that. US site anime-island has the expected due date as 16/11/13.

Also from my experience, once the US sites get it, UP1 is not that far behind.

It takes up to two months after release for UP1 to get stock of a figure (it's still listed as a pre-order item although the release data would be incorrect).

I've noticed a lot of UK sites seem to have this 2 month delay between when something is actually released and when they state they can ship it to customers. Can only assume there's a delay somewhere in the supply chain that means they can't get things prior to release.
