Figure discussion/picture thread

Yeah, only conclusion you can draw is that they want to sell more directly to the US and price gauge a little. An idea that will probably last about five minutes.
 
The reason we all import is due to the bootlegs/ lack of stock from local suppliers.
Hope they know where their international customers are and don't make any assumptions that there is alternative supply other than Japanese online shops.
 
if GSC do stop then i sucks but they have been a bit funny lately i know that HS had the BRS/Dead Master figures, but when it comes to amiami and nendoroid they don't list them in the sale section on the english site but you can find loads of them in the japanese one -its slightly annoying-

Read Or Die - Yomiko Readman - 1/8 - Flying Paper Base ver. (Kotobukiya).

I picked her up pretty cheap, i don't tend to buy female figures but this a nice figures, shame about the base the bits of paper where a nice effect but they should have make the same effect on the acutally base rather a picture with paper on other wise a nice figure




secondly we have Kotobukiya Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan One Coin Grand Collection.

I love these there adorable, so small and cute my so much detail in them. Each one comes with a card with a chibi picture on and the other side has a image when brough together makes a beautiful picture of saitou



 
Yumiko certainly looks nice. I agree about the base but i guess in the end it would have been alot of work to do a paper effect just for a base? Mind you, you get Yumiko almost floating on paper so i think that makes up for it
 
Haven't got my figures pics on me atm but i've done abit of experimentng with camera angles and lighting, I hope to get back to the expo at some stage and get back to haggling for kakashi hatake figures.

Atm i've searched up and down the internet for a queens blade nanael revoltech figure as a centre piece on my shelf (sucker for the whole "angel woman" look ..... even though i'm an athiest) But the cheapest i can find is £20.

If only it was a tad cheaper :(

Nice... although I'm kind of surprised you're buying Queen's Blade figures. Surely you're too cool for these weirdos who buy figures from porno cartoons?

I've watched a couple of episodes of it, despite the obviously annoying fanservice the story looks alright, nanael is my favourite because of the wings and sword. between queens blade and ikki tousen the only difference is one has swords in it, the other - not so much.

Ideally i wanted a naruto character, but looking online i'll have to spend about £60-£80 on a kakashi, or spend £20 on a nanael and have her stood with the sword pointing forward. (i'll post a pic when it arrives to show you what i mean)

Revoltech are better to pose than others, which is why i hunted down the revoltech version. plus i might get back into drawing (hell i've looked at my anime collection again recently.... it hasn't been given more than a seconds glace in months)

A nendoroid kakashi, or yoko littner would make my day though,

Thats a pretty quick turnaround for SAL shipping...it was only just sent out on the 30th Jan!

Might take photos of her sometime in the future depending on whether or not i want to risk breaking one of the pegs that hold her in place!
 
WooHooo im so happy Amiami list 4 more of Alter's Hideyoshi Kinoshita - Baka to Test to Shokanjuu and i managed to get one, which means i finaly get him <3

Thanks =3 i guess it would have been quite a bit extra work prehaps just a plain white base would have been better, though i agree with my pictures she doesn't almost look like shes floating on paper =3
Nice job getting your figure quick thats pretty impressive for SAL.

Thankies =3 I love Hakuouki stuff so pretty -wish that the games where translated-, i would kill for the 3 movic figures that are being release but they where exclusive and pretty expensive for the scale. For now im happy with these indeed for trading figures they are wonderfully detailed out of all the one coin grand sets like these they are the best quality i think.

I got this on friday =3 so pretty -but im guessing most of you wouldn't agree seeing as you prefer female figures im guessing =)
