Beez Entertainment Discussion

Do we know for sure that it's two sets? According to the BBFC (who are fast becoming the go-to place for information about Beez releases), episodes 8-14 were classified less than two weeks ago.

I would like to know this too. I'm holding off buying it until some information appears somewhere to confirm the specs (and at risk of sounding paranoid, the complete absence of information from Beez makes me worry about buying incomplete series in case they vanish partway, given past experiences in this fandom ^^; ).

Ah, I see someone put a couple of pack shots on Amazon.

Looks to me like that first disc says it has episodes 1-4. So that looks like a 3 part release now. That'll be me not buying then. 2 sets max for that length of series.

Well according to my copy, the first box has 9 episodes. Therefore it's safe to assume it will have the same release pattern as Gurren Lagann and Gundam 00. So three sets.

I remember seeing those pictures (I hate the clash of colours. Overall, the TGWLTS DVD package was poorly designed in my view xD)! The same person posted up Sound of the Sky packshots:

I actually prefer the artwork used than those used on the American release; although the American one has a booklet...

EDIT: Okay, I'm bored, let's see what the BBFC gave each episode of Sound of the Sky.

U: Episodes 3, 8, 10, 13.
PG: Episodes 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9.
12: Episodes 7, 7.5, 11.

No cuts.

On their notes of episode 8, it said "contains mild toilet humour"...well, it is a whole episode of Kanata holding in a pee...I'm fearing having to explain to someone in my house that I'm not watching porn; that I'm watching a girl hold in a pee xd

Hurrah for the mysterious packaging guy!

I would prefer two sets too since I don't really think I'll like this show that much, but the attractive interior art (mm thighs) compels me to at least put it on my wishlist for next time I'm making a purchase.

You can see that? Maybe I need my eyes testing 'cos I can't see anything about episodes --_--

Three sets at 9/9/8 then. That's not too bad, I suppose, though I can't use the Amazon vouchers I have because the first set is not available there. Sort it out, Beez.

The Nozomi release uses those pieces for two of the individual thinpak cases. And the booklet is quite lovely :p

Yeah you rub it in...

Every day my Sound of the Sky doesn't arrive, I grow a tad crazier.

Sorry for the double post. Anyways, my Sound of the Sky DVD *finally* arrived today, and I'm having a bit of a problem.

When I first load it onto my BD player, I don't get the DVD menu (I had to load the disc on my laptop just to find out one exists), it just automatically started to play episode 1 RAW. As pressing the DVD menu button made it go to the start of episode 1, I decided to set the subs on via my BD player directly. When I resumed, it jumped straight to episode 2, and even when I turn such features to what they originally were, it refuses to recognise that the disc doesn't start with episode 2.

With other DVDs/BDs I've played, the player has went through normally and recognised the DVD menus.

Some issues noticed with menus onPS3 slim

Not had any problems with my copy of Sound of the Sky yet - I am using a multi-region dvd player (I might see if it works okay on my blu-ray player though).

I just tried disc 2 and 3, and they seem to work fine, it's just disc 1 (Well, their menus show up at least).

This majorly sucks, considering how now I can't play episode 1 on my main TV downstairs...

EDIT: Okay, I just finished episode 2, and instead of going on to episode 3, it started playing episode 2 again. Again, it works fine on my laptop, just not my blu-ray player.

*sigh* So I guess that means I can't play episodes 1, 3, 4 or 5 on my Blu-ray player.

EDIT 2: Just thought I'd mention that my Blu-ray player is an £80 LG one I picked up in Tesco.

EDIT 3: Beez said it could be a brand error and they'll look into it. Considering other DVDs work fine (as do volume 2 and 3), I doubt it is though.

I had a strange problem with Durarara on my PS3 which sounds not entirely dissimilar to what you're experiencing. I'm not sure how I resolved it (and I no longer have the disc), but I think it might have been the "play from beginning" suggestion on the following page. If your BD player has a similar option, try that?

You have the Beez release?

I thought you meant the Nozomi release, in which case ignore my post.
No problem, I wish I had the Nozomi release though *looks at the pretty artbox*

Hello :)
Does anyone know if the Gundam Wing Anime Legends are out of production or not? Specifically, part 1? I mean, every online retailer I know has part 2 in stock, but no one has part 1. And I really want to buy the complete series T_T

It can't be possible for it being out of stock, right? It was released a few months ago! (Err..I think)

It was released a year ago today, actually.

Have you tried Zavvi/TheHut? They're down atm, but they're the cheapest.
