Want Double Zeta!!! (I imported Zeta lol)

I'm in the same boat. Though I won't say no to the Zeta movies if Beez get them announced before I buy the R1s!

Snff! You guys...

I had no idea there were other people out there who... glub! - wanted more Gundam too!

AW YOU GUYS!

[Collapses into emotional sobbing fit, overcome with the joy of knowing there is solidarity among otaku]

I'm more amazed that others specifically want ZZ. I thought I was the only person in the western hemisphere who liked it.

I wouldn't say no to ZZ either, it would be even better if it was just sub only as well, and unlike the Zeta releases, they kept the original OP themes...

Nah - I hear things about ZZ pretty much in the same vein as I did about SEED before I saw it. There seems to be a split between fans who like it and others who don't. I think that's a fairly typical thing with Gundam.

I'd welcome a UK / European release of ZZ, as well as X, Turn A, Victory - any of the shows we haven't got, really. (Er... have I said that enough on this forum?)

To be fair there's only three-four shows that tend to do that with gundam, SEED, ZZ, G and to an extent Turn A. ZZ doesn't look so bad as i was first told a few years back, I loved G and Turn A so SEED is the only one of them i truly dislike :p

I don't even think SEED does, really, especially not in Japan. ZZ is Gundam stretching a bit too far to bridge the gap between Real and Super robot shows, but apart from that I think it's got some great fun characters and is pretty enjoyable overall.

I honestly don't think I've seen a REALLY bad Gundam show yet. Of course, there's gaps in my viewing so far.

That's kinda why I'd love to see a more comprehensive set of Western Gundam releases. There's actually a fair bit of diversity to the different shows, and some things appeal differently to the fan base. I'm surprised it hasn't caught on better, really.

I personally thought SEED was a very strong show. A bit too heavy on ill-considered stock footage shots, but a lot of fun, and the action escalates nicely in the last twenty or so episodes. Plus, a couple of the character deaths really got to me. 'I told you I could make the impossible possible' - sniff! I'm not forgetting that in a hurry.

I'll be eternally grateful to Beez for putting that out as an early AL release.

I enjoyed ZZ myself, sure it was a bit light on the action at the start, but I enjoyed it, plus it picks up good in the latter stages.

As for the 7 new animes, I do also hope that its some more Gundam shows, but again I doubt they'd license something that doesn't have an English dub with it, so that rules out the illusive four Gundam shows. I'm also in the boat of running out of patience and buying Zeta from the US, but I'd still love the series to see a UK release, as it deserves it.

I look forward to finding out what they are.

In evidence to them licensing undubbed gundam stuff, Beez did bring out the 0083 compilation movie, The Afterglow of Zeon. That hadn't even been released in the states, so it was a sub only affair. It's possible that we may get a sub only release, just not likely (I wouldn't complain though)

If it came down to it, I'd HAPPILY live with subbed versions of those Gundam shows. WHATEVER IT TAKES to get Turn A over here!

Ah, interesting. Well, maybe its not TOO far fetched then... though I still wouldn't put any money on it...

seeing the Gundam 00 dvd's the last thing i'd want is anything to do with Subs

What was the big problem with them? =/ I had no issues with them at all. Save the lack of sign subs.

u didn't have the openings/endings subs all over the place?

happened on all 3 vols for me

I have noticed occasionally with the few Beez releases I've picked up, that a whole subtitle line will randomly be missing. There is a moment towards the end of Sword of the Stranger, (I know there is a moment where it's supposed to be missing early on, because of what the director intended, to convey about the language differences), and on two occasions, of what I've seen of Eureka Seven. I'd also heard about it happening on Gundam 00 aswell, but have yet to watch those. It seems like a strange issue. I might pop Sword of the Stranger in another player to see if it is player specific. It gives me another opportunity to watch such an amazing film ^^.

'Tis indeed a weird 'un.

Maybe it's time to resurrect the 'Technical Difficulties' thread? I'd love to hear some qualified discussion or explanation of why these things happen. I've noticed a whole load of apparent glitches on some of my discs that disappear when you put them in another player.

Like I say - weirdness!
