UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Yeah, I have to admit it sounds like they're really going the extra mile with this stuff - ie. bringing JP staff over and putting on special screenings/legit world premieres. People have complained for ages that the UK anime scene 'gets nothing' compared to the US etc. so it's nice to see something that puts paid to that.

Andrew has already said that the Mobile Suit Gundam compilation films didn't sell well for BEEZ so AL probably won't be releasing them.

Comments about Fairy Tail suggested AL weren't looking for anything long-running, so Gintama is probably out. Not to mention Manga released the film and I'm guessing it didn't sell very well.

I'm hoping for Buddy Complex, but I imagine it will be Turn A and whatever Nozomi have planned after that, since AL have said it causes problems if they deviate too much from the US.

Yeah, I'm not caring for a physical release of the compilation films (I would have liked them as a bonus in the MSG release though) but I would like to see them on the big screen if that's ever an option.

Right Stuf said that Zeta, ZZ, Victory, X and the Turn A movies will follow Mobile Suit Gundam. Here's hoping they don't release any DVD-only...

Colourful would be good, especially with Miss Hokusai coming up. A double pack collector's edition would be excellent.

And I'll continue to fly the flag for Space Runaway Ideon.

They aren't today for some reason. IDK if they aren't there or something. Anime Ltd themselves normally tweet out their announcements fairly quickly although obviously not as quick as someone in the audience could.

Ah, I didn't know it had been known for a while, I'm still really happy about it none the less lol.
Not really, at the last MCM, Andrew said he was looking into it as maybe something could be done. Later that day Manga UK were asked and said somebody else already had it. People then put 2 and 2 together.

I'm happy to see that K's later instalments are in good hands (Season 1 was Kaze for those wondering).

The fact that Anime Limited now have Assassination Classroom pretty much means he'll put it up on Viewster very soon since on the podcast he referenced that 'one or two shows' will be on there soon.

I have the US version of K and the JP version of the movie, but I'm up for the sequel. It's a weird show where I'm not 100% sure I like it but I just keep watching it anyway (it's pretty).

It will be good to finally see Assassination Classroom.

I know what you mean Rui, I thought the same about K.

I'm glad to see they've picked up Assassination Classroom, looking forward to watching that when it gets added to Viewster.
