UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

That show genuinely looks worth watching for the visuals. And the cute girls of course.

For sure! plus, the MC's VA is Chiyo from Nozaki-Kun, Papi from Monster Musume & Shovel Knight from School Live & she's always a pleasure to listen to. I'm biased though as she's become my favorite even though she's a still quite new <3

I'm starting to think the show might have got lots of flack just for not being what people presumed it to do by the first couple of episodes cause I'm getting happy feelings just thinking of the show. Re-visit upon physical release :thumb:

Darn, now I'm going to have to get it too.

And Anime Limiteds pickups continue to baffle me....it's a poor show, cute cover of hito ni yasashiku for the OP though.

I miss when everything Anime Limited announced was exciting for me.....seems so long ago now. Guess my wallet is happy though lol.

I will never keep everyone happy with every acquisition and the first few are always easy wins really :)! I'm still pro new talent in the industry as Deai-san has been though and the more the merrier, first shows aren't always smash hits but it won me over. Totally get that it isn't for everyone though!

If what you listed before from my initial run is your thing, you won't be upset by our MCM London run of announcements ;)!

Best,

AP

Not the kind of thing I'd normally watch, but Rolling Girls looks like dumb enough fun to take a punt on, I'll probably end up picking it up on release.

Looking forward to the other announcements!

It has been announced that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin II will premiere in London in October.

By coincidence I watched the first MSG:TO this morning and absolutely loved it. It would be brilliant if Sunrise allowed AL to do a regular non-import version at some point (presumably in a few years time though).

In addition:
What’s more, representatives from Sunrise will be coming to London to celebrate this with the fans and following the World Premiere of Gundam The Origin II: Artesia’s Sorrow there will be a post-screening talk that will include some exciting news for UK Gundam fans!

.....

“In total that there will be four screenings across the day at MCM Loves Anime, one of them is the Gundam double bill that includes the World Premiere, and while I can’t share details on what the other screenings may be just yet, I will say one of them may involve ‘Love’ and might make people quite lively.”

Anyone got any idea what Gundam title has 'Love' in it? For a moment I was thinking of Macross but of course that's irrelevant to the topic.

Yeah, Andrew was saying on the podcast that people were upset that Love Live was only being screened at SLA.

The Gundam announcement could literally be anything, although I imagine AL will be avoiding stuff that's already been released to begin with. Especially since there are still legit copies of many of the BEEZ releases available from France.

I'm hoping it's an Iron-Blooded Orphans simulcast, although I don't know if the dates line up.

Maybe it's a Gundam/Love Live Crossover.

A theatrical release of the Love Live movie would make me overwhelmingly happy het also really sad seeing as I'd have no means of getting to the closest cinema it's at, probably about 10 miles away, or have anyone to see it with :(

I wouldn't worry, Jeremy said on the podcast that he and Kat had looked up whether it was possible to daytrip the SLA screening (yes, but it's a tad expensive), why would they bother if AL were giving it a wide release?

Whoops, I misread the posts. I thought this was regarding a wide release, DBZ style, not at a Convention. My bad. If AL do want to give it a wide release though *flutters eyelashes*

No wide-release for Live Live I'm afraid - it's just not the right film for it as much as it's doing perfectly well in Edinburgh!

It's true though there will be more than Gundam screening and not all Sunrise works there :)! It's gonna be a great taster for folks of what we do at SLA anyway so worth checking out :D. I would recommend the Gundam screening as there'll be some fun discussion (and announcements) after with some folks from Sunrise there in the flesh too!

I'd love to see some early Sunrise films like the Gundam compilation films, Char's Counterattack or the Space Runaway Ideon films on the big screen. Maybe an idea for SLA 2016!

So many Sunrise things I'd love to see from Anime Ltd (or even just at this event)

Yamato 2199
The currently airing Gintama
Valvrave
The Code Geass Akito the Exiled OVAs
Keichi Haara's Colourful

And that's just stuff from the last five years.

Yess, Code Geas OVAs!

Still, I am so excited for this - this is what Anime Limited do best tbh, bridging the gap between UK fans and those heavily involved in iconic series
