Golden Kamuy season 1
Episodes 1-12.

Isolating so bought this early.
Disagree with the reviews saying it's a National Geographic documentary.
Plenty of action. Liked the good guys and the the baddies.
Watched in 4 days. First time I've done that for quite some time.

Extra for me was guessing where I'd heard some of the voices before.
Always like hearing Mamiko Noto.

Banner of the Stars II episodes 19-23 & Banner of the Stars III OVAs 1-2 (Complete. Having enjoyed COTS this was also an enjoyable sci-fi outing which I can recommend for fans of the genre.) 3.5/5

Bartender episodes 1-11 (Complete. A charming series which provided a great atmosphere and approach to its storylines. It’s a unique title to have in my collection.) 4.5/5
 
Jujutsu Kaisen ep5

Decided to finally give this another go. As something to stick on in the background, it’s fine, but I do find it pretty hollow beyond the impressive visuals.

My Dress Up Darling ep9

I certainly feel like I’m learning a lot about cosplay from this one. Can’t see myself dressing up as a magical girl any time soon, mind.

Lupin III: Part 1 ep9 (English dub)

Masaaki Osumi’s final episode as solo director is an unusually melancholic outing, seeing Lupin’s relationship with Fujiko become more complicated when her hitman former lover turns up during a heist, only for her to be gravely wounded in their crossfire. I think what sets it apart is that Poon the hitman is surprisingly sympathetic and likeable, rather than the boo-hiss villain you might expect. In a way this one almost predicts Seijun Suzuki’s later involvement with the series; it could easily have been one of his live-action films.
 
I have now finished The Amazing World of Gumball Season 1 and also watched all of Season 2 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, I'm currently watching Season 7 of Spirit Riding Free, and also have Ride Your Wave in the player in my room to watch subbed, really love this movie so far, and the other three shows are awesome too :)
 
Princess Arete (Blu-ray)

So I had to watch Princess Arete after the discussion last week. TBH not quite what I was expecting but I found it to be an incredibly interesting film with a very deliberate pace and (as now expected) well crafted and developed characters. Sadly after a lot of looking I cannot find any video release of Sunao Katabuchi's first film Kono Hoshi no Ue ni.

86 - Episodes 22 & 23 [Final]

So we finally get to the end of 86 and I was pleased with how the series concluded the characters stories. As a whole I think it's been a good show.

I watched Captain Earth when it aired, I'm a bit biased because I really like Bones mecha shows, but I enjoyed it although I agree with you that it did get a bit ridiculous in places, lovely animation though. I've had the BD for a while and will rewatch it at some point.

Huh, I thought that would make a good 700th complete show, guess the final episode got delayed?

Break the cycle.
This season took the darker parts that were bubbling away in the background of the first season and moved them to the foreground, so much so that when there was a couple of fun episodes after the mid point they disrupted the flow of the story a bit. I haven't actually got round to reading/watching all the story in game yet, but I think this is a different take, but with a lot of similar elements.
There were plenty of excellent scenes animation wise, but the character models seemed off model a lot of the time especially when characters weren't that close to the camera. Guess they were being fast and loose with the style, but knowing the characters from the game it was a little odd.

Amagami SS episodes 18-21: Oooh, a slight variation on the theme, where they're not quite a couple by the end of the scenario. I'd say it makes good background noise, if not for the fact that I still have to look at the subtitles occasionally.

SABIKUI BISCO episode 12 Cure. (Complete. A creative fantasy series that offered something different from its post-apocalyptic setting.) 3.5/5

Beyond the Boundary episodes 0-12 & shorts (Complete. Though sporting the usual standard for KyoAni in terms of animation the supernatural storyline and a characters didn’t always engage me.) 3/5

Beyond the Boundary -I’ll Be Here-: Future (Film) My thoughts on this sequel film are in line with that of the series. 3/5

The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt episode 12 Scheme. (Complete. A fantasy political series focusing on behind the scenes manoeuvres and conflicts with the protagonist being willing to take risks where necessary.) 3.5/5

Birthday Wonderland (Film) Visually this film has some great moments but from a story and character perspective I wasn’t quite as engaged. 3/5
