Let’s see, this is what I’ve watched since MaL went down to now...

Regalia the three sacred stars 1-end
Best left avoided, literally no saving grace to it.

Very much enjoyed this, was a good show. Exactly what I needed after regalia...

ACCA thirteen territory inspection dept. 1-end
Couldn’t help but think of ACCA in regards to the accounting association here when reading the title... turned out fairly interesting.

Restaurant to another world 1-end
Never expected a show about a restaurant to be so good. The food even looked good, can I eat the food pixels now?

Masamune-kuns revenge
Was alright to begin with but felt like it started to drag from midway.

BBB&B
Overall not as strong as the first series but still enjoyable.

Caught up on the following simuls...
Basilisk season 2 aka the thing that never needed to exist.
Black clover - interested to see where this arc goes.
Kakuriyo - hurry up and marry the ogre already, you know you want to.
Space battle ship Yamamoto - more comedic laughs.
Steins gate
Golden Kamui
Dances with the dragons
Tokyo ghoul re
High school dxd hero


And just started D. Gray man let’s see how far in I get before needing a break from it...

In need to get around to watching D. Gray man, it'll be a perfect usage of my Funinow subscription at least. I see the Basilisk sequel still sucks, glad I dropped that when I did.

Yeah, D gray man seems like it’ll be decent. It’ll also take a while to watch. Basilisk on the other hand I just wish they never bothered resurrecting it. Season 1 was enough there was just no need to make a season 2, it’s utter bollocks. By far worst anime whilst it’s been airing and worst follow up to a cracking show too.

A serious warning to people who are interested in watching this show, do not try and watch it in one sitting, it will not do you good.

I have to ask, (Keep in mind that no matter how much I say this show is fu**ed up, cuz it really is... I really enjoy this) do you think reading the manga is worth reading, or is the anime doing it justice?

I've wanted to see this since not getting to see it at Scotland Loves Anime in 2011, so it was great news for me that I stumbled across a copy in a second-hand record shop in Glasgow last month. I enjoyed watching it; the idea of conquering the universe using 5,555 gold discs and a human sacrifice is absurdly kitch. 😁

DARLING in the FRANXX eps 18+19
This just gets cleverer and cleverer, doesn't it? We haven't even seen a FRANXX unit in action for several episodes, and I never even noticed until now. That's how engaging the character writing is.

Steins;Gate 0 eps 4—7
I'm reliably informed that episode 8 is gonna be quite something. Which is good, because I still can't quite get into this due to the overabundance of anime cliché and the fact I'm finding the plot rather clunky and coincidence-reliant.

I very nearly facepalmed watching episode 7 when our cast went from complete ignorance of the four-digit code to working it out within moments via a random suggestion and a look at Japanese Wikipedia. It always pays to have a Mozart expert on hand, doesn't it? :rolleyes:

Casshern Sins episodes 1—8
I picked this up in HMV only recently, and jumped it to the front of the queue. It got me hooked really quickly. The art style is great, and it very much creates an atmosphere. I look forward to watching each new batch of episodes.

Kiss Him, Not Me ep 2
I think I'm gonna enjoy this series. It's good fun. I'll no doubt buy this at some point, but will probably carry on watching on Crunchyroll for now. :)

Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club - eps 1-3 (dub)
Liking this so far. Characters are likeable apart from that one guy, who, if this goes the tropey way will totally overcome his inner demons and return to being friends with the guys again. And there are a few tropes already with the loud guy and the quite introspective MC. Also the search for the 4th member of the club, not once but twice! The dub has J. Micheal Tatum playing a character, Rei, as Rintaro Okabe in a completely different time line where he applies his scientific knowledge to sport instead of time travel 😄

Speaking of: Steins;Gate 0 ep 6
New Years Eve "and it's all a little bit of history repeating" well sort of! Massive cliffhanger!

Crossing Time ep 9
Nostalgic wait at the crossing. Massive cliffhanger!

Kakuriyo - Bed and Breakfast for Spirits - ep 10
Aoi is visited by the empress and the master goes away on a trip. And there's a massive cliffhanger.

Golden Kamuy ep 9
That first half got a bit ridiculous. The second half had some quite tense moments. And yet another cliffhanger.

Kakuriyo -Bed&Breakfast for Spirits- episode 10 A visit from an empress (complete with another mystical doo-dah) and a visit to the baths.

Magical Girl Ore episode 10 A fun flashback and a stalking stakeout. I also saw that twist at the end with the manager coming a mile away.

Railroad Crossing Time episode 9 A two parter eh? A nice little story this week.

Space Battleship Tiramasu episode 10 Space battle shenanigans and clones.

Steins;Gate Zero (Dub) episode 6 A relatively light hearted episode asides from the ending. That Professor dude and his assistant are definitely not legit though.

Aoi gets a surprise visit from the Empress (along with a mystical gift), and the Master leaves on a trip.

Magical Girl Ore (Sub) Episode 10
A flashback, stalking steakouts and a cliche twist that was coming from a mile away. That classroom introduction scene though, :D LOL, "SHE" is at it again with infecting others minds.

Space Battleship Tiramisu (Sub) Episode 10
Subaru p*sses of the space police with his galactic nonsense.

Maaaaan watching this weekly is painful. 20mins always go so quick.
 
Howl's Moving Castle - I was just sitting kinda bored and thought "hey, I should watch Howl's Moving Castle", so I did :p Not really sure why Howl's is the one that came to mind as it's far from my favourite Ghibli but I still enjoyed it enough for it to feel like time well spent.

I should really tackle those Ghibli films I haven't seen but have on BD sometime though...

I would say it's worth reading since even though the anime has done a pretty decent job so far, certain things like pacing are better in the manga. Can't really blame them since they're trying to cram 55~ chapters into a 12 episode series.
