The Irregular at Magic High School
S1
Episodes 5-8
Easy watch. Fights, magic gobbledygook talk and I've just found out the MC also beeps for a beep beep.

Un-Go
Episode 2
Not too complicated. ✔️

A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! episode 11 Jealous.

Love Live! Superstar!! 3rd Season episode 11 A song for you.

Comic Party Revolution episodes 1-13 & OVAs 1-4 (Complete. A better season overall though also not one I’m likely to revisit.) 3/5

Corpse Princess: Aka
episodes 1-6

Space Adventure Cobra - Episodes 25 - 31 [Final]

A very entertaining series that I have thoroughly enjoyed.

Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword Seekers 4 - Episode 11

Ranma 1/2 (2024) - Episode 11

I have to say I found this episode a bit too 'noisy' visually, so far I have quite liked some of additional visual elements that have been adopted in this version of Ranma but I felt this episode went too far with with it.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Episodes 1-5

Even though I am a DIEHARD Gundam avoider, I watched the first 5 episodes of Witch from Mercury last night to see if I could handle it, just in case there was the teeniest, tiniest, remotest chance of minuscule possibility that I was interested enough to add the steelbook releases to my Anime Steelbook collection. Well, I actually have been enjoying the story a good bit so far, so I will probably go ahead and include the steelbooks in my next big order from Crunchyroll. I did also like some of the newer Gundam series like Origins, IBO, and Thunderbolt when those came out, and currently I only have those three Gundam series in my anime collection. I guess I will be adding one more Gundam series in steelbook format to the mix, albeit very stubbornly! I'm still not a mecha fan at all - honest! 💩

I've either dropped, completed or didn't bother at all with my Winter PTW new shows (a couple of sequels I may or may not watch to go), so onto Spring:

Girls Band Cry eps 1-6
A girl from the sticks drops out of High School and moves to Tokyo (sort of) with no particular goal in mind and on her first day! there meets the singer/guitarist/songwriter of her favourite song who left the band she made that song with. Together they start a new band.
Another show I wonder what the hype is about. It's full of convenient coincidences and the main girl is a bit grating, either too shy or too OTT with not much in between. The music is alright, but not as good as Bocchi the Rock! (which is 2 years old already!! 🤯)
On the art and animation side it's directed by the Love Live! Sunshine!! director except instead of sticking to CG for just the performances uses it for the entire show! Some of it is OK, but most of the time it feels like watching a PS3 game where the character models are acting! And thus, again, no where near the level of Bocchi (or K-On for that matter, a show that's 15 years old!)

Dragon Goes House-Hunting episodes 6-12: It's always a bit weird when a character features in the opening credits, but you don't meet them in the series until almost the end. Enjoyable but silly story.

Sengoku Youko 2nd Season episode 34 Into the void.

The Prince of Tennis: U-17 World Cup Semifinal episode 12 Dark side.

Corpse Princess: Aka episodes 7-13, Corpse Princess: Kuro episodes 1-12 & Special (Complete. I rather enjoyed both seasons of this, as horror and supernatural action series’ are amongst my favourite anime subgenres when done right.) 3.5/5, 3.5/5

Cowboy Bebop (Rewatch)
episodes 1-4

Girls Band Cry eps 7-13 (complete)
Hmm. After mentioning that director worked on LL!S!! I checked the writer and he too wrote that and this show did feel like an idol show, but with a rock band instead. It was supposed to be a vehicle to launch an IRL band, but seems 2 of the members have already pulled out!
It felt like there was a bit too much melodrama too, with all the background stories, although each character got nowhere near even screen time in this aspect with the first 2 girls getting the vast majority of it (bullying for one and quitting their band over artistic differences for the other), 2 others got an episode each (not wanting to follow in her grandmother's footsteps and abandonment issues/being a perfectionist) and the 5th got literally a couple of lines! (she is a hafu with SEA heritage (which I had to look up on Wikipedia!) and got a rude comment from a customer and both her perents died!). It's quite bizzare how not great the writing was as the writer was also responsible for another original piece, A Place Further Than the Universe, which is great as well adaptations such Euphonium and The Dangers in My Heart!
Already mentioned that I really didn't like the art and animation.

Sounds like a wasted opportunity with the background and talent involved, a shame that. Maybe the team didn't gel and the motivation was lacking

It could just be me! Enough people seem to like it!
Sometimes, I'll admit, I go into something popular and (sub)consciously want to tear it down, especially if it doesn't grab me straight away like JJK2 (just episode after episode of fighting got boring), Chainsaw Man (the characters were all bad, as in bad people rather than the writing, although there was some of that) and this (I think it immediately set off on the wrong foot, for me, with the art, but most of the characters didn't grab me either).
Frieren and The Apothecary Diaries on the other hand I sort of knew I would like going in and they got me straight away. Delicious in Dungeon on the other hand I think I gave a fair crack of the whip and it just didn't click.

You mean you didn't even like Pochita in Chainsaw Man?
It was the only one I liked.

DAN DA DAN episode 12 Co-ed. (Complete. I’ll preface this by saying I’ll be watching season 2 next July but I thought this has been good but not great so far, though I am curious to see where they go from here.) 3.5/5

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V
episode 11 Duty.

Negative Postive Angler episode 12 Appreciation. (Complete. I came for the fishing but stayed for the emotional moments - this was pretty solid though I don’t think I’d be in a hurry to revisit.) 3.5/5

Rurouni Kenshin -Kyoto Disturbance-
episode 36 Gaze from the shadows.

Trillion Game episode 13 Accessories

Cowboy Bebop (Rewatch) episodes 5-22, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (Film)

You must have similar tastes to me, Dd - I have no interest in JJK, Chainsaw man, or Delicious in Dungeon either, but loved Frieren and Apothecary Diaries - Especially Apothecary, that has to be one of my top 3 or 4 GOAT anime now.

Got to say I feel the same way for all (except Apothecary Diaries - still looking forward to watching that!). Demon Slayer is another one I can't like as much as the hype - on paper I should, great animation, music, interesting characters and story; guess I'm just not one for one long fight drawn out over the majority of a season/cour.
