Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest Season 3 episode 34 Snow.

Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 7 episode 88 Dreams. (Complete. NBoF continues to be an enduring fantasy series and this season was stronger than the preceding one - hopefully season 8 isn’t too far off.) 4/5

Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Despair & Future Arcs
episodes 1-18

ARIFURETA: From Common Place to World's Strongest Season 3 Episode 10

Love Live! Superstar!! 3rd Season Episode 12 (Complete. Another enjoyable outing from this franchise.) 3/5

Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles Season 2 Episode 24 Aftermath. (Complete. A continuation that steadily progresses the story whilst building upon the core casts character development that made this another engaging watch for which I would welcome a third season.) 3/5

Lupin III - Dead or Alive

I watched this as I'm reviewing it for a guest spot on another podcast. I really enjoyed it, an absolutely cracking film, great action, pacing, story and looks incredible to boot added to the fact that it's the only Lupin film directed by creator Monkey Punch. I'm definitely going to have to watch it again soon.

Urusei Yatsura Movie 2 - Beautiful Dreamer

I had a real urge to watch this again, such a surreal and entertaining film.

All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku Dash - Episodes 1 - 5

Time to finish Nuku Nuku, I feel Dash is stretching the same story a bit too far now.

Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword Seekers 4 - Episode 12 [Final]

Another good episode with a fantastic action set piece and sets up the final film nicely, can't wait for February.

Ranma 1/2 (2024) - Episode 12 [Season 1 Final]

On the whole I've enjoyed this remake of Ranma 1/2 and looking forward to the next season.

Dallos OVAs 1-4 (Complete. Despite being a Mamoru Oshii project this was an underwhelming watch overall.) 2.5/5

I watched Dallos years ago when the DVD first came out and had mixed feelings about it then, there was lots I liked about it but was slightly underwhelmed at the same time, I need to watch the Blu-ray now to see if my opinion has changed.

A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School! episode 12 Lecture time.

Love Live! Superstar!! 3rd Season episode 12 A different tomorrow. (Complete. Perhaps not as strong as the previous season but another fun entry and I’ll be sure to watch the fourth if/when it comes.) 3.5/5

Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School - Despair & Future Arcs
episodes 19-23 & Special (Complete. Neither of these series’ were as good as the first anime adaptation, and each presented an underwhelming experience.) 3/5, 3/5

Ah My Buddha episodes 1-7: We jump straight into this world without any explanation. I still have no idea why the teenage Ikkou suddenly turns into a super-excorcising monk when he sees the naked bodies of the teenage nuns who are training with him. Or who half the girls are. It's entertaining enough in a lewd way.

Skull-Face Bookseller Honda-San complete series: 12 episodes running around 13 minutes each about the chaos involved in working in a very busy bookstore in Japan. Nice to know some physical bookstores are doing so well. Very funny stories about dealing with customers, authors, agents, warehousing and publishers. All based on real life. Needs to be watched more than once, I think, as there is so much going on and I'm busy trying to read the flood of subtitles. Here's a pic of one of Honda's workmates from the final episode.

I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History Episode 1-13 (Complete. Standard Villainess anime that doesn't bring anything new to table with it's predictable tropes and clichés.) 3/5

Loner Life in Another World
Episode 1-12 (Complete. For an Isekai, this for me was one of the weakest and underwhelming anime I've seen to date. Not likely a series I'll be rewatching ever again.) 2/5

Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister Episode 13 Freedom.

Sengoku Youko 2nd Season episode 35 The weight of time. (Complete. A stronger second season which told a very solid overall story to completion.) 4/5

The Prince of Tennis: U-17 World Cup Semifinal
episode 13 Not quite time. (Complete. Perhaps a little underwhelming overall but I’ll still check out the next entry into the franchise when it emerges.) 3/5

Demon City Shinjuku (Rewatch)
Though stylish this isn’t one of the stronger OVAs from this era that I’ve seen, upon rewatch I did I enjoy it slightly more. 3/5

I'll look forward to it! It doesn't seem to be as much discussed as the likes of Cagliostro or Mamo, but I have a lot of time for Dead or Alive, it's just a very solid action film. It's got quite an unusual look to it as well; it feels like the character art is maybe trying to reference the manga more, rather than just following the look of the TV series.

Listen To Me Girls, I Am Your Father episodes 4-9: ambivalent feelings about this. Sometimes I enjoy the interplay between the characters, then they do something that I'm sure would be against the law (such as kidnapping three children to live in a single male's apartment for a start). And let's not talk about the creepy paedo-adjacent club boss. At least the girls are starting to get serious about their precarious financial situation.
