The song names in K-On did kinda make me laugh at how bad they were.

Kinda funny when you consider they're MEANT to have been written by Mio but she's squeamish as ****, and well...is a stapler...not sure what the end of that song in context could be :p

K-On! 5-8

Okay...I was laughing all the way through. Episode 1-4 were cute, but now the show really seems to have taken off. Now it's become harder for me to pinpoint one member of the band as my favourite (If I had to really think about it, it would probably be Yui or Mio). Throughout the set I was either aww-ing at how adorable it is or laughing my head off at how hilarious it is.

Also, it was great to see a series with even a slight reference to the possibility of homosexuality being released as a PG - the world really is moving forward in that respect.

Only downside is how bloody high pitched the voices can be (I preferred it when Yui's voice was messed up due to practising too hard. Seriously, she's adorable but after two episodes it can grate on your ears). "My Love is a Stapler" is also the best song title ever.

I've just watched it today and I enjoyed the latest K-On! as well. It is interesting the relationship between Mugi and Sawako. I'm trying to remember when it occurs in the manga.

Sawako was the icing on the cake (or the strawberries?) for this volume - wasn't expecting that xD

It's been a long time since I've seen any of it, but I think I lost interest in WHR around the point the proper plot kicked in, so I'd be curious to see what you make of the back-half of the series.

Just finished this this evening, so my feedback is in the 'last series' thread :)

Un-Go 6

I was kind of disappointed to hear that how Shinjuuro and Inga met is being kept for the prequel film (that only has a run of 2 weeks). However, it seems like there's still something about Shinjuuro that we don't know. Interesting.

That was about the point that the TV series really started to drag for me. Even at this stage, it still doesn't seem like any of the enemies pose a real threat to Ken. Some are putting up more of a fight, but it's not enough and it saps any excitement out of the show.
Well, there is one enemy who definitely poses a real threat to Ken, and he turned up in episode 46. At this point I'm wondering how they managed to drag the series out for another 60 episodes, as while he falls a bit short now, I'm sure Ken doesn't need THAT long to level up.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Aside from Raoh, I have a rough idea of what the other main upcoming plot event is going to be and, unless the series starts breaking its formula up a bit, I'm not sure I want to go through the 60-odd remaining episodes either.

This is why I miss the early part of the series, when Ken was looking for Shin and Yuria. The question wasn't so much one of whether Ken could take Shin down, as much as whether he could get there in time to make a difference.

I'm actually tempted to move straight on to HnK2, but that just seems obtuse.
