Ninja Nonsense 1-3

Reasonably funny ninja-related japery. Best thing about the series is the great Norio Wakamoto playing the star of the show - a perverted flying yellow ball... thing. And the ED is awesome.

Gundam Age ep 3, so far it's so so, i'm watching it, and not hating it, but it's not really even in the shadow of 00 or Seed atm

but then i just need to remind myself, Seed was terrible till episode 25

Seed was terrible till episode 25

You wait until I start watching to tell me this? :p

Im doing a clean up of shows I started and didnt finish for whatever reason.

Watching Episodes 1-5 at the moment.

The plot is fairly predictable so far but I am keeping in mind that its a long show and longer shows tend to take time setting things up so they can be knocked down later. I hope things get a bit more exciting soon.

I like the uniforms but some of the civillian outfits are just icky, especially Flays pink ugly dress thing.

To be honest, I didn't think the plot of seed ever became anything more than utterly predictable - that was one of my main complaints about it.

From what people tell me, I did myself no favours by watching it in the dub, but really, I found the whole thing an enormous waste of time and I've been wary of committing to series of that length ever since.

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood 1-7

I'd had the first two Funi BD sets on my shelf for 18 months. It was time to start watching them.

My memories of the first FMA series are a bit vague, but it's obvious that Brotherhood is speeding through the early events in a way that isn't entirely satisfying. On the plus side, with old ground being covered quickly there'll be plenty of time for the story to take a different direction to that of FMA, and by all accounts it's rather epic.

Now do I import the rest of the BDs or cheap out and buy Manga's DVDs? :-/

went to see Welcome to the space show at Cinemagic /we love anime at the weekend, really enjoyed it, although it was far too long and could have been at least half and hour shorter.

So I've watched a couple of episodes of Baka to Test. One thing I've noticed in the animation of when there's a close up on a particular character, there's what looks like hybrid animation to look like respiration. Much like what tinklebell does on their games.

I've also watched a few episodes of Mirai Nikki (or Future Diaries to others). Nothing like a bit of splatter to break from the usually

Shakugan no Shana III -FINAL- 8

So the war has finally begun. I found it quite shocking to see just how much damage Khamsin can do; makes Rebecca's explosions look like nothing at all.

Mobile Fighter G Gundam ep1-9

Mixed feelings about this one. On the one hand, it's like a breath of fresh air; blowing its nose in the general direction of all that is serious and stuffy about Gundam, instead taking cues from the burning passion of the super-robots.

On the other hand, after a promising start, I've found it's become quickly repetitive as the cardboard-cutout hero slogs his way through a series of cultural stereotypes.

It's good fun in small doses, but between the (presently) insubstantial story and uninteresting main characters, I'm not so sure it really needs another 40 episodes.

Don't give up!!!

G Gundam is a fantastic series, yes it gets off to a very generic fight of the week start but it develops into such a deep and at times dark show. It is a proper Gundam show and everything one should be make no mistake.

When I first saw it I thought the same but I was so wrong, and I am admittedly a mecha snob and I love this series as a very good mecha show and I've seen it three times now. Most people who say its rubbish have either never actually seen it or not really watched it.

G Gundam deserves it's place in Gundam folklore!!

Star Knight Tekkaman Blade - Episodes 38 & 39

Such a good series.
