Star Knight Tekkaman Blade - Episodes 34 & 35

Tekkaman Blade is consistently very good, but it's at that stage of the series where it needs to move on and begin its push to the series finale.

Damnit maes you made me into a Makoto fan...And I can see why.

Idolm@ster ep 17

I could, and likely will, splurge about this episode but I liked it as much, if not more then the Miki one. It's up there as possibly my favourite (behind the Live in ep 13) Although for the love of Chihiya foreshaddowing. Again, I can appreciate why they're doing this and that it'll likely be the end of season stuff. But there's foreshadowing and then there is laying it on thick.

So many cute Makoto moments this episode. The timing of the commercial was brilliant and the merry-go-round was excellent but I loved the face she made when she wanted the light gun back from Producer.

I thought Jitensha was a brilliant choice for insert song. I would have prefeared Tear but it would have gone against the tone of the episode. The ed was nice too!

Producer has been really stepping up to the plate. Stood up to Jupiter and took that punch like a trooper.

I was gonna post about ep 17, but my list of highlight moments would have been just too long. :D Glad you enjoyed it.

Special shout out to Miki not wanting her Makoto to be taken from her. :s

School rumble ep 1-3

Pretty much follows the tried and tested formula to the T, but its still very amusing and so lovably bizarre in that way only this type of anime can be. Harima's great

Rideback 1-10

I think going down the terrorist storyline was a mistake, Rideback could have been a sweet little short series about a girl learning to race and ending up being a champion. This story just feels a bit 'meh'

Wolf's Rain 20-24
This is getting better and better, Its just such a strange sad unusual series. I hope it doesnt drop the ball on the ending

Those terrorists just ruin everyone's day don't they?

Gundam Age 1-5 - I was hesitant to enter this series at first, primarily because i was never sure on how a series like gundam would work under Level 5, and i expect that may have been the same for a fair few as well, always thinking of Level 5 for Ni No Kuni and the Professor Layton series. Somewhat more light-hearted and easy going in comparison(and being a games company as well). But i can safely say my hesitation has gone, and this series is turning out to be quite nice overall. It feels like Gundam, it plays out like gundam, and in the first episode, i found myself getting this feel that i'd seen some of this before, because of certain similarities with the original series that it holds. Saying that, it is still different as well. The series kind of has a macross-y feel to it as well, no focus on music though(shame).

@joshawott: I have to agree, Grodek is pretty badass up to episode 5, will be interested to see how he is in 6 which i'm watching tonight. I have a soft spot for the bridge officer "millie" as well. She's awesome, but i couldn't for the life of me tell you why.

Also up to episode 6 of Hanasaku Iroha which if nothing else, is a nice easy going series for me to relax to at the end of a day. The characters are fairly likeable at the moment as well, so yeah i'm looking to continuing on with this.

Isn't it odd how we get attached to characters with so few lines for no apparent reason? Could it be that she's sexy? (Well, sexier than Emily 9.9)

I like the implication that she isn't sexier than that other female characters (ie. Yurin).

Yurin has been in what, one episode? hardly enough to judge her ;p. Millie shall stay top for me. Sexy yes, but there is maybe a maturity about her as well which i prefer.

Yes, I was being more tongue-in-cheek about the fact that Josh felt the need to specify Emily. :p

On that topic, typical AGE conversation:

Emily: Hi Flit, I have made all your decisions for you, and think it would be best if you listened to me at all times.

Flit: Well, you know, I was thinking about maybe considering something slightly different to that...

Emily: WHY DO YOU HATE ME YOU SELFISH PIG.

Jesus woman, stop suffocating the boy!

Wolfs Rain episodes 20 - 30 (end)

I had an idea of what was coming having been read a few spoilers years ago, but it did not really prepare me for this. Its not many shows that make me cry this much at the ending.

I think its going to be one of those shows that sticks in my head for a while.

Loved it.

Been watching the 2002 version of Kanon; watched up to episode 10.

I adore the 2006 version, and came into this with tentative curiousness. Things started off well for a series that is only half the size. Ayu's story started better, and the time limitations meant that though story was skipped, it still managed to plot things well.

But as the series draws to its conclusion it's fair to say that it feels a little rushed now. Both Ayu and Makoto's conclusion to their arcs didn't have the same impact. And whole chunks of backstory for Mai and Sayuri are nowhere to be seen.

So it's fair to watch, and still enjoyable, but the latter version's existence has become more and more obvious now.
