Another (Manga) - Volume 4 of Omnibus Complete, Chapters 15-20 (COMPLETE)
Well this felt like an abridged version of the anime with a few alterations to certain scenes.
SPOILERS TO BOTH THE ANIME & MANGA:
Volume 1 was exactly the same as the anime.
Volume 2 was nearly the same with certain scenes omitted/mentioned instead
Volume 3 skipped all of the other deaths we witness in the anime (e.g. the truck that drove into the building, the car that went off the cliff and the student who got killed by a boat)
Volume 4 had the same concept as the anime (school trip, what happened years ago that stopped the curse, the culprit and details of the tape leaked among the students) but the events were different than the anime.
Akazawa survives in the manga but she is a bitch in this version. I prefer the anime Akazawa.
One thing to mention is that the manga has a very interesting art-style which to me is superior to the anime adaptation because it looks more realistic (the scene with the teacher going suicidal felt very real).
My only complaint is that it just focuses more on the main story than the side characters so those you witness in the anime are not present or briefly named in certain places.
Overall this is a very good version of the Another story, while it's basically the same as the anime adaptation it's a great read and I do recommend getting the Omnibus (like Evangelion it's quite easy to scroll through the pages and finish it in an instant) if you can find it cheap. Out of 10 points I would give this manga an 8 [Very Good].
