What Games Are You Playing?

So for quite some time now I've kinda been in a gaming slump, I've tried playing things but I never seem to finish anything but after about 10 hours I finished Ori and the Blind Forest, wonderful from start to finish. The pace of the game was just fantastic, it seemed to add something new to the mechanics at the perfect moment and it never left me feeling like I was just going through the motions. Definitely a game I'll be revisiting sometime, honestly it's a bargain at £15, but in a Steam sale I reckon you'd be crazy not to pick it up.

Now I'm gonna see if I can push through on Persona 4 Golden before Bloodborne comes out.

Played a various amount of games lately.

Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2 vis PS3) - I've only played an hour of the game but it is really good. The graphics may look like it's from a Game Boy Advance but the gameplay is fun (you can even hit your teammates for no reason, LOL).

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 (PS3) - I'm surprised you can die and actually continue progress in the same battle, and the original story so far is pretty great. GUNDAM!

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number (PS3) - Really fun game, except the game keeps crashing on Level 12 (most notably when I chainsaw the big guy). The music is awesome; favourite tracks are Simma Hem (Riddarna) and Roller Mobster [aka the most badass song from Level 12] (Carpenter Brut).

HyperDimension Neptunia (PS3) - Finally decided to continue the game (and will eventually buy mk2 and Victory on PS3 for physical copies before going into Re;Births). One of the main reasons why I was put off was due to the Histoire Enthusiast trophy. I can happy confirm that I can still get that trophy and decided to make proper progress as well, just need to remind myself not to recruit the other goddesses until I've beaten the final boss (it's the only way to achieve the normal ending).

Max Payne (PS2 vis PS3) - The moment when you realise you dived straight into the river and die you know you'll have your friend next to you facepalm completely. I'm currently in Part II of the story and I'm liking the story. Gameplay is great but I feel as though most of the time I am not aiming at the enemy and they just suddenly get hit by the bullets, logic broken.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (PS2 via PS3) - Wow. That's all I can say about this game. The story is very.. interesting and I hear it's the darkest storyline in the entire SMT franchise so I'm curious to know more. The English dub is great but it's a shame that the lip-syncing isn't perfect due to games back then having problems keeping up with Japanese movements (old anime also have this issue, which was why I went for the Japanese dub for Tenchi Muyo! (I liked the dub for that show by the way in case you're wondering)).

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES (PS2 via PS3) - One of the feature I've noticed is not in P4G is the fact that yourself and your teammates can get tired, that's going to make dungeon trips pretty difficult. Oh did I mention I stayed up til the sun was up playing this over the weekend? Yeah that was entertaining.

More raid mode on RE Revelations 2.

Tales from the Borderlands episode 2 is out today in the US so hoping it will hit the European PSN by Friday so I can play with my Brother watching :)

I'm hoping Tales from the Borderlands comes out tomorrow, been looking forward to it since episode 1 :)

Been playing some Hotline Miami, made it to chapter 10. I think I'm going to do some more grinding on Oreshika, to try and beat the final boss.

Carpenter Brut is pretty superb overall, i remember that stage well too, works perfectly. I had heard it was buggy in the vita version, but not as much for the PS3. i guess they both got the short end, PC was more or less fine throughout.

Being playing through Hotline Miami 2 myself still, but on hard mode now i've unlocked it. I've been able to find out a lot more about the story on the way too, with a few hidden sequences out there and a very interesting character being in the first stage of the writer.(watch carefully beside his taxi, you'll see what i mean). Still fantastic, but hard mode didn't catch me out as much as i expected it too. beat the first stage with an S =/

Also working my way through Majoras Mask in my spare time, however little that maybe. Still so good even now.

Think i'm considering picking up the retail package of RE:Revelations 2 on friday, since i was waiting for it to finish it's episodes before getting it. now i can. Been looking forward to this a lot.

I'd wager it's a soft slip box and paperback for the Manga. I'd love it to be rigid and hard cover though!
Found an unboxing and sadly it is a soft slip box and paperback manga (I think the manga is like a japanese volume its smaller than a standard volume, will post the link if anyones interested)

Turns out our collectors edition is better than the US set. Lovely hard box that opens with slip cover

Been playing on my bf's PS4, so today I completed Infamous First Light. I had so much fun playing through it, and I will attempt the platinum at some point :)

Final Fantasy Type 0 HD - Game looks rough at times (as expected of a PSP remaster) but the combat is fats paced and fun, and the characters are varied enough that there is plenty of reason to switch between them.

Just finished Chapter 2, story is a bit m'eh atm but I heard it picks up soon.

The combat is definitely the best part - I'm finding it really satisfying, especially with the ranged characters.

Agreed about the story being petty duff, but suppose that was likely to be the case with such a large cast.

The graphics thing annoys me a little because on the whole, things look great - but it's really jarring how the main cast have all been remodelled completely in HD, whereas most of the NPCs look like ugly bricks out of the PS2 era.

Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky

About 10 hours into and so far it's been pretty good. Definitely shows that lot love went into making the game and i the raise hat to them writing so much extra dialogue to so many NPC's to make the world feel more alive.

Completed Tales from the Borderlands episode 2 last night, had so much fun playing through the last few chapters <3

Got my first PS4 platinum today from Infamous First Light :D
